the true measure of a champion is not only winning a sanctioned title but defending it..in the case of pac he has never defended any lineal title he won.. SUCCESSFULLY...:deal

how can a guy who has never dominated any weight class he has been inbe called p4p the best..:blood

pac has a total of 5 title defenses in the 5 weight classes he won titles..ring is not a title so the hatton 140 fight and barrera 126 fight :dealwasn't for any title.

truly pathetic in terms of boxing historical standards..lol

    hmm says . . .

    ok.............

shiiiii I'll still call him p4p, but yeah I would love to see him make more title defenses... lineal or not, it don't matter... Can't blame him for wanting to weight jump and make history.... I'm hoping he'll still be around long enough (before he retires "so-called" after 2-3 fights) to try to be undisputed in WW... that's hoping he faces PBF, Mosley, Berto, or whomever big WW name if he gets past Clottey.

that's because he's been weight jumping which, IMO, is more impressive than dominating a division.

The ring may not be a title in your eyes but when he beat Barerra he won the lineal title no doubt about it and he defended it so stfu

I tend to look at it the other way...

    Pac fought :

    Morales 3 times

    Barerra 2nd fight

    Oscar de lay hoya

    Oscar larios

    all in NON TITLE FIGHTS

this speaks volumes , title dont mean too much when you look at the bigger picture

he defended his lineal FW title against the most avoided fighter in the sport at the time, Juan Manuel Marquez.

Has this ever been done before? For a fighter to move to a new weightclass, win the lineal championship in his first fight against a prime ATG (Barrera), and then succesfully defend it in his very next fight against another prime ATG (JMM)?

    thats ****ing amazing.
