Against Hatton his punches were like a machine gun, against Cotto he was still quick, but maybe not as quick as before. Has Manny slowed down, or was it just that Cotto was very good?

I think he started slower, his speed was apparent right away against Hatton, it seemed to take him a few rounds to get into it this time. Once he got going though he looked just as fast.

    hmm says . . .

    hella nah..
1st round left you some doubt and he didnt' stick to the gameplan (he stayed on the ropes)... He was feeling cotto out, but looked sluggish on the process.. after he gained cotto's respect (maybe round 5) that's when cotto adjusted and started using footwork...

He's not gonna be quite as fast because he's carrying more weight, but still very quick.

pacman defense is to stand like a statue with face cover infront of his opponent. i think the beating of pacman with a 2 inches thick wood works.

His hand speed were still there. The problem is he is no longer as bouncy as he used to be. He could have avoided Cotto's jabs and one hit wonders by in and out but he never did that.

Speed was still there. He knew Cotto will be counterpunching all night that's why he hardly made a move.

I dont think he did. I think he got slower as the figt went on but every fighter does.

    Its called Fatigue.

He was fast from rounds 3 til 7. I mean he was fast.
