I'm talking about why Floyd didn't drop Cotto...not why Manny did...

Floyd was the one who weighed 147 on fight night. He said it after the fight. Do I think Cotto rehydrated to 160, 160+? Absolutely.

Floyd was being kind to Cotto letting him finish the 12th, after he caught him with the uppercut.

As far as Manny dropping Cotto, so what? For all the dropping that he did to Cotto at 147--oh wait, 145 (for Cotto's title no less), he sure as hell didn't agree to Cotto's counteroffer of meeting him at 154, instead trying to rematch him at 147.

Manny more explosive, more faster, more powerful = Mayweather's still better than him. By leaps and bounds.

these are all BS. floyd weighed 151 and he suddenly magically lost 4 pounds? floyd is known to pull all this BS talks.

and floyd letting cotto finish in the 12th is more BS.

Floyd told that he weighed in 147 lbs during fight night? And you believed him? :patsch And Cotto was 160 lbs during the fight? :patsch

You are blinded by Floyd's words.. And you can't see boxing clearly.. :bart

It's finishing instinct. A sniper needs a "killer instinct". A soldier needs a "killer instinct". A wounded animal on the brink of being eaten by a predator needs the "killer instinct".

To answer the Op, he hasn't been ruthless since Cotto fight. He has fought guys more cautious, scared, and unwilling to engage in Shane and Clottey but still he didn't look determined to take them out apart from the second bs KD in the Shane fight. JMM was defensive as he was using his lateral movement for defense while still trading and being willing to fight. Manny still wanted to go all out against JMM but he just couldn't figure him out, again. Miss the SFW Manny as much as the next guy but he's just not as aggressive. JMM-Pacq III was still a great fight as JMM came to win which I think he did. Bradley will come to fight I expect and is a pfp top 10 fighter still young which Shane was not once he fought Shane so hopefully Bradley brings it and both have a great fight come June 9.

Wait, come to think of it he looked brutal against Marg but Marg's corner and the ref were awful that night. Should've been stopped leaving pride aside. Still I blame the styles of recently he's been facing. Put em in there with a fighter who abandons defense and come forwards and he'll look heavenly again. Don't think Bradley abandons defense but he brings it so hoping for a great fight.

About 5:16 in. Yes, I believe him that he weighed 147. Do I believe Cotto was around 160-160+? Yea, I already said that.

    NOPE.

He has the killer instinct but most of his opponent are just too tough. Except for Clottey and Shane. You can't fight someone like that and expect to throw down because they are defensive all night.Shelled up or running.SLICK my ass they weren't in front of him eager to throw down, toe-to-toe.

Pacquiao also is facing tougher boxers. This is the highest level of boxing in the 126-150 pound division that he has competed in.These guys might be weight drained or past prime. But killer instinct or not he ain't putting them away easily.NOT EASY for Pacquiao being from the lower weights.

I am a fan of Floyd, only when he is in the ring.. I even gave him decent chance of getting a win against SRL in a fantasy fight thread.. That was one hell of a thread, it was me against the whole forum members.. :yep

Other than that, I don't believe him.. :bart
He wants to accomplish something, so he's making such things as that.. :deal
