The Leonard-Hagler bout was a sham fight.....both way past their primes. Now Pac & Floyd are on their downsides....and fans will always ask "what if?"
Nope, Floyd continues to tweet Bieber no matter what... [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RtmVsQZW9uI[/ame]
not meaningless, but it means a lot less then it did 2-3 years ago. Still the biggest fight out there.
The perfect moment for it would have been mid to late 2010. Nowadays it's not meaningless, but it has lost brilliance. Why? Because Mayweather is the age that DLH was when they fought. And Pacquiao won that gift decision against JMM.
I don't think it's meaningless at all. Everyone still cares, look at the board. Everyone has a million opinions about it, there are tons of threads surrounding every aspect of that very meeting daily, and the place is practically divided by people branded as either "*****'s" or "*******s" for Christ sake. It's the biggest fight the sport can produce at this time by far, and it's the one everyone has been dying to see. I think, because of all controversy that has continued to develop around it, it's an even bigger prospect now than it was when first conceived. So much tension has built, so much has been revolving around it. This is by far the most important fight of this era. I think we will see it, but I'm an optimist. I think everything will come together after these next fights each one of them has. Realistically with all debate aside, I think we all know that both Pacquiao and Mayweather are going to win their respective fights and that there's realistically little to no question about that. So give that set as the status quo, I think after that it will happen. It might be slow to happen, they might strike it up right away, but I think it will happen.
only void is meaningless and everyone knows that but not everyone accepts the fact Floyd: Went out of retirement to fight the best Floyd: Urge and in Vacation Floyd: Maybe staying retired would have been better than people to realize that Void is afraid to his spinal column on an asian midget
The earliest this fight can happen now in November, and by that time it's about 2 years too late. Yeah people still care but not as much as they used to. Id say in it's peak it would do 3.5 ppvs, now I bet it does 2.5 to 2.7...it lost prolly about 30 percent of it's hype
Pac getting a gift versus JMM dropped his stock quite considerably. Nobody would've been able to predict the fight outcome in May 2010 when it was initially planned but now hardly anyone on here sees Pac winning. Furthermore, both boxers are past prime although Pac, who relies on athleticism quite a lot, has slipped a lot more apparently.
I wouldn't say meaningless. But me personally, i'm just not bothered any more. Perhaps if and when they do sign, then i'll probably get excited.
