His handspeed seems to have slowed a bit perhaps from the moving up in weight or age? Or maybe its just me.

Hes clearly not as fast as he was at 122,126 and 130 but hes still very fast.

He was a fast as he needed to be against a punch bag. Put him in with Valero, Bradley or Mayweather and the speed will be evident.

I think he's slowed a little bit but not compared to his competition. He should be slower, the heavier he gets, right?

He has slowed down since moving up in weight but the decrease in his speed as he increases his weight was relatively small so people think that he's speed hasn't decreased at all but in fact it has decrease by a small portion.

He obviousluy slowed significantly - he only threw slightly over 1200 punches in the fight.

He has slowed down a bit. Good thing for him, his opponents became slower too as he moved up in weight

the quickest i seen pac was against hatton, he was like bruce lee on crack

i do think he has slowed by around 5 percent for an increase of power and movement. still the quickest boxer at 147 tho when throwing combo and power hits

Heard this on Boxing Truth radio as well but i disagree. He may not be as fast as his super feather days, but compared to the De la Hoya onwards fights, i think about the same.

His punches looked hard and fast, especially the whipped-in bodyshots. Due to the lack of exchanges, the speed didn't stand out as much, but I feel it was pretty much the same as vs Cotto.

Speed is relative in boxing. Someone posted a thread comparing Pacquiao throwing punches at a lighter weight to as a welterweight, and it's obvious that his hands aren't as fast anymore. Put him up against Ivan Calderon these days and he might look like he's lost a step. That doesn't really matter, though, since his hands are faster than any other top welter out there at the moment, and he's fighting welterweights, not flyweights.

I asked this not long ago. He didnt seem as fast in the Cotto fight as he did in the DLH fight. I havent seen the clottey one yet. I think Floyd has faster hand speed today at 147
