You have to be fast to throw 1200 punches in a fight jackass. Especially when most of them are power shots. :fy
He looked slower, but, that is because he is at a higher weight class. Plus, Clottey didn't help much either. Manny didn't have to use speed to beat him since, Clottey, chose to cover all nite behind his blanket.
Naw...Doubt it, looked like he was planting his feet more to break Clottey's guard! But of course moving up in weight should slow you down, and naturally wont be as fast as his lower weight days!
i dont think he was as fast as he was against cotto- but then again- he never got to really display his speed- he was focusing on power shots to contain clottey. when he did let lose- he looked great- and slightly more powerful than in the past. of course he s going to slow down slightly- age and wear and tear will inevitably slow him down slightly- but i think he s making up for it with better balance and footwork, timing and so on. the curve where a boxers athelticism and skills are are probably at its apex for pac. hes very much - at his peak right now , if not slightly past it. his skills may improve- but he ll get slower from here.
He is a bit slower than he was as a featherweight but he is still one of the fastest welterweights in the world.

i think he's slightly slower BUT i think he was faster in clottey than in his fight vs cotto. getting accustomed to the weight.
He has slowed down, as expected. But his opposition at welter are slower and so he appears to look faster.
The Clottey fight shouldnt be made as a gauge in determining Pacs speed. Most boxer would get discouraged with an opponent with a tight defence like Clottey.
