Styles make fights. Marquez (arguably a counter puncher) was the last one to beat Pac. FMJ (a defensive counter puncher) will just have a higher connect percentage and being a defensive "fighter", less active. Or has Pacs defense against countering gotten that good? I think its safe to say FMJ is going to take his counter initiative in the fight. So, have we seen enough countering defense from Pac in his last few fights to overcome Floyds countering?:think Thoughts?

Marquez won rounds off Pac, because when he countered, he countered with three and four punches and would catch Pac with a couple of them. Mayweather won't do this, he's a one punch fighter. They're both counter punchers, but Mayweather won't be posing the problem of punches in bunches like Marquez.
and marquez was an in your face counterpuncher, he would not waste time and cocks back at you once you fire your shots. PBF on the other hand spends a lot of time doing nothing while his opponents fire away. PBF gets a pass mostly because his opponents are usually sloppy punchers and wouldn't land even if mayweather does nothing
No, his countering D has not gotten better, his last 3 opponents have had the same style-left hookers. Hatton, Dlh and Cotto are all one armed fighters-JMM could punch with two hands. Nah... PBF would have a harder time dealing with pacquaio's last three opponents than Pacquaio. I'm sure Cotto would have done more damage and landed more on Mayweather than he did on Manny even counting the free punches pacquaio allowed cotto to land. If hatton had taken mayweather to round 10 and landed his punches, imagine what cotto would have done.
