Shame, I would love to see him in the ring again. He's totally losing his momentum.

Yep - can't afford to bow out for a few months

Suddenly you are on the outer with Turki and co.

    Not good

Parker is deserving of a title shot with his wins over Wilder and Zhang, that I believe most will agree. If Parker is not on the December card then at a guess I would say Turki has bigger plans for him and most likely a main event show of his own at some point, Turki and the Saudi money is calling the shots and I doubt Turki has forgot about Parker .

Well obviously he can't demand, but he needs to still make a demand to highlight how unhappy he is rather than happily standing on the side lines while the division moves on without him. That language has to be clear, he isn't happy, **** asking nicely as they've clearly not prioritised him and ignored him for too long already. He's a proven draw and commodity and yet they are treating him like he's some lap dog who they can ignore and then call up when they need him.

He might not have forgotten about Parker but he definitely isn't a priority. Turki made Zhang/Wilder in the interim and has been trying to make Zhang/Bakole while doing nothing for Parker. They've treated the loser Zhang as a higher priority.

I don't think Turki has any solid plans for Parker. If he had he would have secured an opponent for him by now. There have been plenty of cards he could have fought on this year but nothing and there seems no solid plans for him other than maybe rematch Zhang. The rematch should have already been confirmed but it seems something is preventing the fight from being confirmed.

Maybe it's not Turki's fault but if Zhang is ducking the Parker rematch he should be securing alternatives for Parker but it seems they've been more interested in matching Zhang up with Wilder and then Bakole than securing Parker anyone to fight.

Given that his team are otherwise keen to fight, then yes it appears to be this way. They're the ones putting on the big fights at the moment.

Kicking up a stink when everyone else is kissing his backside might not be the best approach imo.

There is a difference between being firm with your requirements and kicking up a stink. He needs to make it clear if he's not set to fight this year he needs a warm up before fighting Zhang or any other big name. He has to protect his interests and make it clear he won't just sit on the side lines indefinitely until Zhang decides if he wants the rematch or not. I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for a warm up in that situation.

I'm not saying he should kick down their door and start shouting but he needs to make it clear they can't side line him for a year and then expect him to suddenly jump into a big fight with no warm up. It also alerts them to the fact they need to factor in a warm up fight before making any firm plans otherwise when they do suddenly make a fight they are not surprised when Parker does request a warm up.

    I think it was a "bulk-up" break

    That backfired

Hard for Parker to move forward, Usyk and Fury have those belts tied up until next year. Parker in my opinion has earned a title shot, rematching Zhang makes no sense for him. A tune up before a chance at Dubois would be the proper management of his trajectory.

I think Parker was hoping for a big fight so waited it out and it just didn't pan out for him. He realises there's alot of dangerous Heavyweights ATM and a loss could set him back in regards to getting another title shot.

The issue is Usyk/Fury took too long to happen and with them now having a rematch that's like 2 years everyone is waiting on the sidelines for a title shot.

Parker is in a tough spot right now if Dubois rematches Joshua he will probably have to take on another dangerous contender and risk losing to stay active and relevant. Boxing can be unfair but Parker just doesn't have the clout or name that Fury, Usyk, Joshua, has. Even though technically he probably does deserve a title shot vs Dubois but that's just the way it goes.

No problem with a one-way rematch clause, not securing a time frame for the rematch to happen within or the ability to take another fight(s) in the contract, like Zhang did is bad management. Are you trying to say that Parker can't fight again unless it's the rematch with Zhang & that can't happen until Alalshikh says so? If Parker's team agreed to that then they only have themselves to blame. That doesn't seem right to me, I think Parker was bulking up while waiting on a potential fight date that seemed to never appear from September to October & then hoping to get on the Usyk/ Fury II card, which now looks unlikely & instead of staying active & taking a stay busy fight or two he's lost a lot of momentum & could be looking at close to a year of inactivity (hopefully not longer).
