Has Pavlik been handled by Arum well?

So far so good, but I can see Kelley at this point not being able to handle things arum is doing like avoiding Winky for an easy fight against a bum.

I do think Pavlik is a warrior & really wants to fight the best.

 

Pavlik has to fight his mandatory, blame the ABC's for mandatories. Vlad's mandatory was Austin, was not his fault, Austin was owned by Don King, he got Austin ranked mandatory.

 

Lockett is the WBO mandatory. Pavlik's stated goal is to unify all the titles. Obviously he has to keep the ones he has in order to unify, so he must fight his mandatories. If Winky really wants a fight with Pavlik he should go after Sturm like he recently talked about. That way he can bring something to the table besides a record of 1-1-1 in his last 3 outings and a reputation for boring fights.

I did not know that. Trying to get, & keep all of the belts these days is almost impossible.

 

I think he more or less stumbled into Pavlik's success without any sort of real plan laid out.

He KOs Taylor and becomes an overnight sensation....now Arum is trying to figure out what's next for a guy he probably didnt expect to blow up like this. He's not doing too bad on the fly.

 

This is a pretty good candidate for dumbest post of 2008. It's still early in the year, but barring the return of unbeatable floyd you've got a good shot at getting my vote:hey

If Arum had a set plan for Pavs, why is he so scattered about?

He's fighting Lee, duddy, Abraham, Tito, Lockett, Cruz etc etc etc. Fighting in Vegas, MSG, Cleveland, ON CBS, ABC, CNN etc.

There's no business plan with Pavlik, he's literally making this **** up as he goes along.

 

Could not have been handled better, and now he has a nice few winnable, money making fights against the likes of Duddy and Lorenzo lined up.
