Can't see it myself, I think Williams would of given him a pretty bad schooling. He is too awkward and varied in his work for Kelly. His engine would stop Kelly from really get a foothold in the fight imo. It's a shame Williams doens't fight to teh southpaw advantage really. He squares up too much and doesn't set his work up without leaving his guard open. Still even with his faults he beats Kelly who imo is unbelievably one-dimensional.

Williams is underrated because of his recent outings where he lossed by Ko and to Lara. People forget just what a force he can be. Even a shot Winky beats Kelly imo. I think Williams by UD is verdict many would agree with.

I think P-Dub would've got on Pavlik and outworked him. Pavlik might whip in an uppercut in close and demolish him but P-Dub has always been very durable for the best part.

The Williams from Winky/Martinez I would have too much for Pavlik at that stage. He's had about three or four good rounds against Martinez and looked shot against journeymen post-Hopkins. Not all that as a fighter at all.

Abraham would've smashed Pavlik IMO. Two straight-up hittable guys. Abraham less so, and not at a big speed disadvantage here. Pavlik would jab and open up his guard and then get clattered by a big shot IMO.

Pavlik has shown toughness and good powers of recovery but hasn't fought any top level punchers. Guys like Zuniga, Zerturche and Miranda were decent enough contenders with a raw dig but I wouldn't pick Pavlik to last against some of the monsters Hagler and Monzon faced off with.

When you're talking about middleweight chins, those are the bye at the top end. Roldan, Briscoe, Valdez, Hearns, Mugabi would all starch Pavlik in varying levels of comfort. He might pick up a win here and there against those (maybe he gets post-Hagler Beast and stops him in a round ;-)) but although Pavlik was a very good fighter, he's dangerous contender level.

In fact he'd fit in well with the guys I mentioned. Could he 'do a Barkley' on Hearns? It's a possibility, but Hearns' jab is so superior Kely wouldn't get anything off. Unlike The Blade, Pavlik was a jab and follow-up sorta' guy. He'd show no adaptability against Hearns IMO, and if he doesn't get blasted out early indoubt he lands the bomb that Barkley pulled out his arse, and if he does trouble Tommy I reckon he'd get starched anyway (Roldan hurt Hearns as well) and as Pavlik is more a light heavy, he's NO MATCH for 'Hill Hearns' :tong

Barkley Vs Pavlik anyone? Two massive Middles, tough but hurtable, both with a dig. I go Barkley in a war.

    Sugar Ray Robinson

Only stopped once by heat exhaustion in the 13th by a much bigger man he was beating.

    No. 1!
