Has Roach been exposed as a trainer recently?

Alright so recently Roach has suffered 3 defeats (Linares, Khan and Pac).

The main flaw they have is their inside fighting.
Once DeMarco got inside on Linares it was over.
Khan really just looks clueless on the inside.
Pac as well eats uppercuts like M&Ms when on the inside.

Roach seems to be very one dimensional with his fighters. They can fight at mid range to long range and that is it. For a Trainer that has won trainer of the years so many times you would think he would build complete fighters.
Why doesn't he teach his fighters inside fighting?
I mean it is not like he doesn't have great specimens to work with. You would think with specimens like that you would be strong at every point.

However this does show how great Arum and Roach's match making is. They probably are the best match makers ever in boxing.

Yes but Roach does make recommendations on who they should fight as well.

Trainers don't get exposed, fighters do.

No. Its the fighters mentality. Khan moves too much to be really effective as he could be and Manny is a mid range fighter. Sometimes things go out the window after taking a good shot. He should be more strict on Khan because Khan believes he is already an atg. He should just constantly walk through inside fighting with Manny because he is willing to learn.

anyhow i think Roach brought Khan to his peak and i dont think Khan is capable of improving anymore.

khan went from struggling and getting knocked arund by domestic level fighters to beating, maidana, judah, kotelnik.

if you compare the fight vids khan has become MUCH better but i think this is it for Khan.

Then why are Roachs fighters horrible at inside fighting?

Obviously something is not being taught to them.

I think Khan needs to leave Roach along with Linares. Khan would benefit from Steward. Linares would be great with Beristain.

The one fighter who needed Roach and has shown improvement is Chavez Jr. He already was an inside fighter and now that he is working on his mid range he is looking great. So basically if a fighter does not have an inside fighting game do not go to Roach yet. Go there once you have mastered it.

Stewards fighters dont fight inside either but they do know how to tie up.

Joe Goossenn and R. Garcia are good inside fight teachers

100 Percent on the money with this, if one fighter had trouble dealting

with pressure and infighting you can say ok thats on the fighter but

not three. now i dont think he was exposed because fighter fight not

trainers but their something thats goin on their, either their not

listening to roach or its not being taught and i thinks its more that

he's being tuned out by his fighters and thats not a good sign

Well see they do listen to him on alot of other things which means they are listening to him. Otherwise they probably would not have become as good as they are. It is just that maybe Roach either doesnt know how or does not do enough of teaching inside fighter.
