No. VITLAI effectively ended his career, and Eddie Chambers sealed the deal

I think he can but you gotta imagine that the Chambers loss took more air out of the balloon. It's one thing for Peter to lose to the Klitschkos who are arguably the most physically imposing fighters in the sport. However, to lose to a smaller and less powerful guy like Eddie Chambers really takes away from Peter's aura, which may have very well remained in place despite losing to Vitali Klitschko in such an embarassing fashion. In other words, Samuel Peter was still a formidable (and intimidating) opponent for anyone not named Klitschko but after the Chambers fight even that aura took a hit. You gotta imagine that fighters who may not have felt comfortable facing a guy like Peter before the Chambers fight would be more willing to do so now. They see that being disciplined and sticking to a gameplan could pay off handsomely. That, and the ability to take a few hard shots.

With that being said, Peter can definitely play a role in the future of the division but probably on the outer fringes of title contention due to the ceiling set by the Klitschkos. His best bet is to start winning again and move up in the WBA rankings but above all else, he needs to come into every fight from here on out in good shape.

Yes, Peter can rededicate himself to improving his boxing and he could become a HW champ again possibly.

At 243, he'd KO both Arreola and Haye.
