I'm kind of curious about this. Was thinking about how he went from completely random fighter who couldn't do a full 12 with a green margarito to a guy who was destroying kelly pavlik (a bigger margarito) and knocking paul williams completely unconscious. It's kind of suspicious if you ask me. But let's talk about it.

how can you be so sure though? He fought antonio margarito when he was 26 and got beat up pretty good. Then he fights Kelly pavlik at the age of 35 and completely destroys him and even fights a guy in JCC JR who probably weighed like 30 more pounds than him and completely destroyed his face. Not to mention when he got leveled in the last round he was running around with full energy even though JCC basically knocked his head off?

We have to start to think about these things honestly. What Martinez did was unbelievable.

not at all. It's just a discussion bro. Some people actually say they wouldn't mind if athletes used PEDS. I personally think it's ridiculous but that's my opinion.

What Martinez survived in the 12th round vs chavez wasn't human.

He didn't take up the sport until he was 20 years old. He'd only been a pro for just over two years when he lost to a ''green'' Margarito who'd been a pro for over six.

So in your opinion there's no POSSIBLE way that he was taking steroids.... not even a "maybe"?

Sergio was clean...his decline was very natural considering his injuries. When in his prime it was pure natural ability.

A boxers prime is like 26-30...How often is it that you see a guy at the age of 36 jump two weight classes from his original weight class and walk through and totally batter a linear & world class PRIME opponent?

That is highly debatable. I think a boxer's prime starts at their very late 20's or more like early 30's. Martinez is a phenomenal athlete...he has always been that way. It is just his skills have developed with time, in his case a later stage than normal due to starting the sport relatively late.

I'm not interested in any of that I'm merely pointing out that you describe Margarito as ''green'' when they fought even though he'd actually been a pro much longer. It's just odd how that there was no mention of Sergio being green considering he was considerably greener. lol

And of course it's ''possible'' he took them.

    Carry on with your business.

give me some examples NOT USING ONCE IN A LIFETIME FIGHTERS of guys who's prime was after 30.

that's fair actually. Margarito had a solid amateur background also. I think he had like 90 amateur fights. I don't even think Sergio did amateurs so your right about that.

Bhop, JMM, Duran are once and a lifetime guys in my opinion. I like the froch example but I still think frochs prime was closer to when the super 6 tourney started.

so maybe boxing prime is like 28-32. Even younger if we are talking about some super stars.... 25-32. What do you think?

its called experience. i believe margo was ***y serg's 13th or 15th pro fight. fighting a margo when sergio was coming in late age in the sport is no suprise he couldnt hang yet. he got better as he fought more. no steroids
