Unless the fight really did flop, We are now heading on the first week of October and No OFFICIAL PPV numbers yet?

Only took less than a week for the OFFICIAL PPV numbers to be released for the Mayweather-Alvarez fight.

Take into account, we still dont have the confirmed numbers for Maidana/Mayweather I either?

Just hearsay and fantasy numbers from memory...

I dont think we will get either number tbh. They would rather let the time expire and hope people dont care too much about it.

Showtime’s Stephen Espinoza has announced that it will withhold upcoming PPV buy rates due to the controversy surrounding the Floyd Mayweather-Marcos Maidana PPV. Espinoza told Boxing Scene.com that the buy rates will only be released if the event sets a PPV record.

But only took a week for the PPV numbers for the Mayweather-Alvarez 2.2 Million PPV results to be released.

Were they still adding up theater ticket sales to be added to their ppv buy count after 3 weeks since their fight?

It probably did worst than the first one that's why showtime is keeping it.

I know some of you really get excited about ppv numbers but some seem more excited about finding out the numbers than the actual fights

When it's all said and done, the Alvarez fight will prove to be the most profitable by a significant margin for Showtime on their Mayweather investment.

I don't see how the network couldn't have lost money on both Maidana fights.

Depending on just how much, they still may be in the black overall on the deal. But it's not going to be easy to find realistic 1 million + buy fights going forward.
