First of all, in an interview a few weeks after the fight against Ruiz, Jones said that he was walking around at 186! Which is what he weighed in at fight night against Tarver.

Also, how the hell can you call that muscle weight?:patsch Do you think that Jones gained back 11 pounds of muscle overnight after the weigh in against Tarver? You really don't have much experience in cutting weight, do you? Guess what? I do, and that is nothing more than water weight. Just like every other non-heavyweight fighter loses before a fight. All you do is avoid drinking water for a while leading up to the weigh in and sweat it out. Then as soon as you weigh in you drink water and rehydrate. Not really rocket science and anyone with a brain realizes that water weight is only type of weight that you can gain and lose 11 pounds of overnight. Roy Jones Jr. would NEVER IN HIS LIFE struggle to make 175. Regardless of that, IT WASN'T THE FIRST FIGHT AGAINST TARVER THAT JONES WAS KNOCKED OUT IN! Jones was bragging up a storm about what great shape he was in for that second fight, and how easy his weight was under control, ect.... and THAT is when he was knocked out.

Tarver had to cut more weight than Jones in BOTH fights as he naturally walks around over 200 pounds. People love to leave that little tid bit out when making these excuses for Jones. As if Jones was a natural heavyweight or something.:rofl Jones weighed in against Ruiz at 7 pounds UNDER the current Cruiserweight limit.:patsch

    Yeah, I'm clueless.

"Sheika is going to shatter Jones' glass-jaw"

Your a joke, I offered you a challenge, I said if Jones doesn't beat Sheika I'll leave the forum forever, and if Jones beats him you **** off.

You rejected and started talking a load of **** by PM because you can't handle it. You make points and don't back them up. Watch the video I posted on the thread about McClellan-Jones and tell me he has a glass-jaw.

You didn't accept my challenge because you lack self-confidence. You don't even believe what your saying yourself, which is why instead of agreeing you simply PM'd me calling me a joke and telling me to **** off and not PM you back.

    ******.

I know he is, but fight night weighs mean nothing in this discussion. The fact is he weighed in at 193 for the Ruiz fight, and that was a solid 193, not like he added the extra weight in fat it was muscle.

He then had to weigh in below 175 for the Tarver fight and did, and that means he lost 18lbs between those fights, in muscle. The weight on fight night means nothing because he put that back on in water weight.

It doesn't excuse the fact he had to lose 18lbs of solid muscle prior to the Tarver weigh in.

Are you stupid? When did I say he put on 11 lbs of muscle inbetween the Tarver weigh in and fight night the next day? I said he had to lose muscle mass when coming down from the 193 he weighed in at against Ruiz, in order to make the 175 limit against Tarver. That's 18lbs difference he had to lose to make weight, and that 18lbs was muscle.

I'm not talking about the 11lbs he put on prior to fight night, of course that was water weight. I'm talking about the 18lbs he lost between the Ruiz fight and Tarver weigh in.

If your so ******ed that you can't see somehow that he had to lose 18lbs in between those fights then I don't even know why I'm debating with you. You talk about the 183, but it's not like Jones dropped from 193 to 183 and stayed there, before he went up to 183 by putting on 11lbs in water-weight, he had to make 175 before putting them weight back on rehydrating. Therefore 18lbs, and that's 18lbs in solid muscle mass. He put this 18lbs on in muscle because it's well known he was proposing to stay at HW for a fight with Mike Tyson, however after this didn't come off he had to move back to 175 and defend his titles against Tarver.

And yes Tarver probably had to drop weight, but it's not like he had to drop muscle mass like Jones. Dropping body fat percentage is a lot easier and less strain on the body physically than dropping muscle mass. Do you think Tarver was doing weights and cardio and bulking up to 200 in between fights? No, he probably let himself go a bit after fights and got back to natural weight, but that's natural weight with a higher body fat percentage. Therefore even if he had to drop 25lbs of weight before the Jones fight, more than RJJ himself, it was 25lbs of pretty much body fat and water weight. Jones had to drop 18lbs, but 18lbs of muscle mass which is notoriously difficult to shift.

But losing weight the wrong way, however many pounds are in question, weakens anybody's chin. Maybe it wasn't 25 pounds. However you cut it though, he put his body through a tremendous amount of strain in a short period of time getting himself back down to weigh in at 175. Those weren't Krispy cremes he was burning off.

Roy obviously wasn't right mentally when he fought Glen Johnson. You give any world class fighter that many free shots, and unless you are Oliver McCall, you get KTFOd.

Don't line up with Widow, Rico. He's just cranky that another garbage Klitschko fight has come and gone without everyone singing songs to their wondrous pugilistic glory.

Can you understand this little Tommy? The "Jones lost 25 pounds of muscle" ecxuse for his Glass Jaw is just that. An excuse. It is a complete myth.

How is it myth? It's on record that he had to lose 18lbs because he weighed in at 193 and then had to make 175, that's 18lbs difference, right ********?

It was muscle, where was the excess? Like I said, he bulked up because he planned to stay at HW to fight Tyson. After this didn't come off, he had to drop back down to 175, and therefore lose that 18lb of muscle mass.

Myth. How ironic. The whole Roy Jones glass jaw **** is a myth. Like I said, watch that video I posted. When was Jones ever knocked down? In trouble? Hurt? Knocked out? Never, and that's fighting from 160 to HW. It's convenient that your only subject for the Jones 'glass-jaw' debate is getting knocked out by a perfect punch from a big-hitting light-heavyweight, and a big light-heavyweight, in Tarver, and then getting bashed around for 9 rounds by bruising Glen Johnson before getting knocked out, and Johnson isn't feather-fisted like you claim you ****tarded twat.

:patsch Wow, you aren't very bright.

You keep saying that he lost 18 pounds of muscle to get from 193 to 175. So explain to me... what were the 11 pounds that he gained back overnight? You said that you never claimed he gained back 11 pounds of muscle... but yet you claim that he lost "18 pounds of muscle" to make 175 from 193. So... WHAT THE HELL WERE THOSE 11 POUNDS THAT HE GAINED BACK OVERNIGHT? It was water weight, genius. Which proves that other than 11 pounds of water weight, Jones only lost 7 pounds. In other words, Jones went from 193 against Ruiz, down to 186 before his fight with Tarver. Then, within the day leading up to the fight Jones dehydrated normally as fighters do in order to make 175 and then gained the weight back overnight when he rehydrated. The fact that Jones gained those 11 pounds back overnight is proof that those 11 pounds were NOT muscle.

    You're welcome for the lesson.:good

The 11lbs he gained back was water-weight as I've already said, perhaps a small body fat percentage. So are you telling me that it was impossible for Jones to put on weight if he lost all that weight in muscle?

Regardless, how easy do you think it is shifting 11lbs of water weight, leaving you never dehydrated in the run up to a fight, and half a stone of muscle?

Do we have another ******** who believes Jones truely had a bad chin then?

Stop changing the subject and I never said a damn thing about Jones' chin. I absolutely hate it when people can't grasp simple matters and keep pushing myths like Jones cutting all of that muscle mass when you know damn well it isn't true.

How the **** would Jones have had 11 pounds of water weight to put on overnight if those pounds were pure muscle before they came off?:rofl What you are saying is that Jones didn't cut any water weight. That he lost "18 pounds of solid muscle"... and then magically gained 11 pounds of water weight after the weigh in. Do you have any idea how ******ed that is?

If Jones didn't dehydrate those 11 pounds, then he wouldn't have had 11 pounds of water weight to rehydrate. If Jones DID dehydrate 11 pounds and then rehydrate 11 pounds overnight like we all know that he did. Then obviously he didn't lose 18 pounds of muscle. Other than pure water weight of 11 pounds... all that is left is 7 pounds. So, you can claim that 7 pounds was "pure muscle" if you would like.

Besides those obvious facts, another fact should be easily apparent to you. Jones fought at 175 less than 6 months before he fought Ruiz at 193. You honestly believe that Jones gained 18 pounds were of solid lean muscle mass in under 6 months while also doing extensive cardio training and sparring for a boxing match? Do you also believe that he was on steroids then?

Well of course that is another story of it's own now isn't it?:yep

Ive been trying to start threads about this for a while now. Nothing shows me that RJJ has a glass jaw. He is a complete shell of his former self yes (and i think moving up and down at weight into his 30's did cause that, i mean look at how badly Tarver looked against Hopkins after gaining enough weight to look like a HW in Rocky and then losing back down). There is a good highlight video showing Roy taking some good shots when he was younger and it not phasing him, he took punches from a top 4 HW at the time in John Ruiz, got caught by a perfect punch (lets not forget in 25 other rounds of boxing Tarver never knocked Roy down), it took Glen JOhnson 8-9 rounds of pure beatdown and the worst came from Roy hitting his head on the canvas on the way down, and since then he has not been knocked down, Calzaghe completely outclassed him for 11 of the 12 rounds but Roy did not go down. I'm not saying he has a chin of stone and if he steps in with someone who is quick and can punch he'll eventually take enough punishment that he goes down but the man does not have a glass jaw.

Also I thought (could be completely wrong here) that RJJ walked into the ring against Ruiz at 199/200.

No, he weighed in at 193. Obviously he wouldn't have cutting to make 193 or anything. Wouldn't make any sense for him to have gained 8 pounds overnight when he wasn't cutting weight. People took on this misconception when on fight night Jones jumped onto the unofficial scales with all of his clothes on and was recorded at 199. Of course the extra weight was his clothes.
