He announced on his social media a few days ago that's he's fighting for the WBA belt in Monte Carlo Nov 12. Haven't seen anything about it from Hearn or by Sky Sports?
No I don't think he has. Hearn has mentioned over the last month trying to get him a big fight. Guess their trying to sort the other 2 rumoured fights on the card b4 making an announcement
That's a fantastic card on paper- Ortiz/Takam, Sosa/Smith and Abraham/Murray. Not sure why Sky/Boxnation wouldn't pick it up.
I haven't seen anything about Ortiz/ Takam but I saw something suggesting McDonnell v Warren as well as Abraham/Murray (as you say) could be on the card which would suggest it being a Matchroom show. Very odd that there's nothing been reported so far - and that Fast Car could be promoting a show in Monte Carlo.
Be nice to see ortiz on at a good time for the UK audience. And see how he deals with takam. He will do a better job than parker did. Would love to see ortiz vs Joshua
Would fancy Ortiz to do a number on Joshua. Doesn't make much sense for Hearn to give Ortiz UK exposure. Surely better for his cash cow if King Kong continues to languish in obscurity. No complaints from me though. That's a cracking card in Monaco. Also hearing noise about Jamie McDonnell vs Rau'shee Warren on the same bill. Too good to be true, surely?
Ortiz defiantly has the ability to outbox joshua and stop stop him. Be great if that fights gets added to the card. 3 world title fights on 1 bill all WBA as well, Monte Carlo would be the place for it to happen with it being a tax haven only place promoter could afford it.
