Has his form dipped or did his wins over Dawson, Bellew, Cloud come against past it/over rated opposition which made him look better.

I'm a big Kovalev fan but I used to think Stevenson stood a real chance of beating him but after seeing both of their last few fights I think Kovalev has to be a strong favourite now.

What do all of you think?

There's a reason Stevenson doesn't want this fight - He will get laid out.

Dawson, Beterbiev and Cloud weren't all that when he fought and beat them, to be fair.

He knows in his heart what will happen when Kovalev and Beterbiev gets to lay their gloves on him.

Did you mean Bellew? and maybe. I still rate him pretty highly but he seems to be dipping in form a bit.

    Yeah. My mistake.

I meant Bellew, who quite obviously isn't on Kovalev or Beterbiev's level.

i think he has gone backwards.....constantly looking to land the long left hand is really quite boring

The guy's 37 and has a style which relies on handspeed and slipping punches- can't see him lasting too much longer at the top

Stevenson's only "elite" win is against Dawson. Everyone in hindsight now pretty much acknowledges Dawson's body is spent.

Stevenson is the same exact limited fighter, with a big left hand and not very much else.

Tommy Karpency beat the exact same Dawson that Stevenson beat.

He seemed too reliant on the homerun and his right hand is far less a factor than his right

I feel like Kovalev and Hopkins would neutralize the punch and win

Kovalev would throw the L RH and end Stevenson inside a rd or 2.

BHop would never get hit by it en route to a 120-108 shutout, even at 111 years old.

He does get hit more often, and his accuracy seems to have dropped a bit. I guess he's slipped, and I think everybody understands now that Stevenson is a one-handed fighter, which would explain why his huge left doesn't hit as frequently anymore.

Hopkins didn't want any part of Stevenson and said himself that he'd be the most difficult fight for him at LHW. Deal with it. :rasta

No Manny Stewart in his corner I think that's the real issue but he did handle Bika with ease no one has ever been able,to easily handle Bika like that

not so much slipped as he never was really there. overrated. he will become a gatekeeper at best before too long.
