Just wondering if it is a coincidence that all your not HOFers are Europeans?

No, I think he will get in, but I don't think he should get in to a Hall of Fame. I know what the HOF is, I know who gets in and who will get in- what I am saying is that this is not the way it should be.

Tszyu's 3 best names on the resume IMO are Sharmba Mitchell, Zab Judah, and Miguel Angel Gonzalez - should he really be in a Hall of Fame? I just think the whole thing is pointless if guys like Hamed and Barry McGuigan are in it. Is it a Hall of Fame, or a Hall of Decent Short-Term Alphabet Title Holders??

here we go about ****ing resume again . boxing is not just about who you beat, its about style and capturing the publics imagination at home and abroad, its about winning fights with something different, and hamed and tszyu ****ing did it. they will be remembered for years to come, therefore they are hall of fame material.
sorry if you don't agree pacfan, i await your snotty , i know better reply.

How do I put this??? Get lost, and take your pathetic and ridiculous accusation with you. I am a white European, whereas you are an idiot.

Is it snotty to say I don't agree? Well, let me be snotty then. Sorry, I don't agree. You can only show your quality against quality opposition- a fundamental principle of boxing IMO. Anyone can look good against mediocre opposition- ie Hamed. He blew away mediocre opposition, then got spanked by the 1st top quality guy he fought. A perfect example of the importance of resume- a guy with speed and power masquerading as a world class boxer who was exposed. If you want to be snotty and disagree, please do, I won't cry and moan about it.

:happy Amen. I was starting to think I was the only poster here who values resume (proof of greatness) over talent or potential.

1 - Kostya should expect to get into the hall of fame.

2 - He will not be lowering the standard of entery.

Given that these two things are true, I don't see his making the hall of fame as an issue.

It's not that the HOF has cheapened but the fighters are different from the older times.Maybe guys that are today in the HOF would not have been in other times

And? I have him in my avatar cause he's an up and comer that caught my eye. It would be damned silly to make assumptions about posters based on username or avatar.
