    yes im underwhelmed with emotion..

In order to keep a true perspective of ones importance, everyone should have a dog that will worship him and a cat that will ignore him.

    NOW SIT!

Any one from england who'd seen him fight knew what he was like. But i still don't understand his willingness to be hit. He's gotta sort that out if he wants to hold on to his title.

I don't think he wanted to get hit, He simply uses a style that does not really suit his lateral movement/lack of. (He is not as fast as he thinks he is)

That said, He has a sledgehammer punch, all that matters.
Outbox him all you want just don't leave your guard open. :bbb

i feel the same, he looks slow and his jab used to be rapid. also his punches (except in the final rounds) didnt have as much "zumph" in them compared to his other fights,

i think this was more due to his mentality though, because noone was buying the fight and because he was on foreign soil. hopefully he will be back to good again and it was a great learning fight for him:thumbsup

He has major flaws according to his critics/fans. His footwork is terrible, and he is easy to hit at times. He was put down by a former MW, and had J.T went for the finish, he could've gotten the job done...imo. With that said Froch generates great interest from fans, and he has better defense than given credit for. He has a good jab, and he is very strong for a guy at 168. Yes, Froch has raised more questions than answering his critics.

I was not impressed, but, that is just me. Taylor had him in the bag, but, gassed out. It's that simple.

What exactly was the 'luck' that you think he had?

No-one ran in the ring and hit Taylor from the blindside while the referee wasn't looking. Taylor didn't suffer a freak injury and have to retire. Froch didn't get a gift points decision that he didn't deserve. The referee didn't jump in with an unwarranted stoppage (he even gave his opponent a slightly long count). The referee didn't add an extra round on that was not in the regulations.

    How was he lucky?

He won in an unequivocal and undisputable way. Because, over a 12 round fight, he turned out to be a better fighter than his opponent.

    How is that 'lucky'?

He got the job done, and am sure he would have learnt a lot from this fight. He maybe only won in the last 14 seconds, but his confidence going into the last round show he knew he had the fight.

He's shown he's limited but ultimately, hes proven himself as being able to delivr against the big guns, which surely you'd have to give him credit for rather than skepticism.

He'd been loading up and missing the majority of the fight. he was lucky that caught Taylor when he did. 14 seconds. That was all.

Catching someone with one punch might be 'lucky'. Pummeling someone for 2 mins and 46 seconds at the end of a fight is the culmination of a plan. Albeit a plan that Froch by and large failed to execute at all for the first four rounds.

Cobblers, Cobbler. It was not a plan - are you telling me his strategy was to build up a huge points margin against him to lull Taylor into a false sense of security so he could pull back a win in dramatic fashion?

****. Taylor lost the fight more than Froch won it. And I wanted Carl to win.

I think he's answered more than enough questions.

He demonstrated more defensive abilities than I thought he had.
    He confirmed his decent chin.
He showed he can travel to foreign turf and maintain his composure in a big fight.
He fought and defeated an excellent opponent that was supposed to exploit his weaknesses.
He didn't fold despite being behind on the cards in a close tough fight.

I say bring on Kessler, Andrade or Bute. He's earned it.
