The Helenius v Chisora fight was fast paced and entertaining. Chisora does not possess the fire power to beat Wlad, and Wlad hits appreciably harder than Helenius ,so he will not be able to roll forward with impunity.
I'll say this for Chisora, he was in shape which he was not for Fury ,bad miscalculation.

Faulkner? Intruder In The Dust, and a short story about a lion hunt with a dog. Not so keen on Joyce.
I like Coetzee , Ishiguro , and Roth,
    deceased - Lawrence, Fitzgerald,Tolstoy,Turgenev, Greene, some Mailer,Bellow.

why would you care?...it's not like you actually watch fights, your ignorance regarding todays Hw divison has been badly exposed in the general.

All you do is babbling the same old generic bull**** about this era.
Why would you even criticize something that you know **** all about?:huh...
Hate?..ignorance?..frankly i doubt you ever watched a Klitschko fight from beginning to end

And to answer the original question, yes and those eras are..Dempsey's up to Tunney, post Tunney, Louis, post Marciano up to Ali, and especially Holmes...holmes era was god awful.

I'm a Joyce , Kafka man myself but like most of the great classical writers and Sartre, Camus, Solsancantspellitnitsen , and a load more. The Hw scene has been close to an all-time low (1904,5,6 were bad too) but I think it's about to get much better, I hope, please ........................

The late Marciano/Patterson era was pretty abysmal. The early 80's were bad, too. And seriously, some of the guys Louis fought wouldn't be licensed to fight as 12 round heavyweights today.

Sartre is a very underrated novelist. In fact, I like him more as a novelist than philosopher, certainly more than a political philosopher.

One of my favorite stylists of recent note is James Salter. Kind of the Jose Napoles of novelists, pretty, concise, devastating.

Mickey Spillane was a great stylist. If you don't agree, check your pulse. His books are more exciting than the current heavyweight division.

Right you are. McVey says Helenius has no real power. Ha! And then he says he scored Helenius vs. Chisora a draw. Amazing. Those two observations from McVey are some recent examples that he doesn't know much about the fighters, and can't score a fight properly. In this thread he says Chisora doesn't have enough power to hurt Wlad...but Chisora is now fighting Vitali. What a moron he is.

I read some of Chisora's background. Is it true, he bite an opponent? Is it true he beat up his girlfriend, and was locked up for a while?

Why don't you address the fact that a multiple world champion,[ from Chisora's own country],commentating on the fight from ringside , stated it was very close, and that Chisora needed the last 2 rds to clinch the fight?

Here is a report from one of the UK's most respected papers. The Guardian.
It states Chisora "appeared to shade the fight". That is not a convincing win.

    http://www.guardian.co.uk/sport/2011/dec/04/dereck-chisora-heavyweight-title

It was a close fight, with the result depending on if you liked Chisora's aggression ,or Helenius's boxing behind the jab.

115-113,115-113,113-115. Means it was close, only 2 points in it on all 3 scorecards.

No way was it the robbery you imply. Of course you want to build Chisora up because he is next on the hit list , blatant agenda driven crap.
I see you have linked up with Spotty Cael ,you make a damn good pair,a ******, and a pubescent boy from the Lounge.
No ,Chisora is NOT a banger, regardless of who he is fighting.
"He bite an opponent" ? No, he bit one.

The Klits love $$$$$$$. Bob Foster KTFO Wlad IMO. Vitlay is the only current HW who could match up in other generations.

Ever wondered why Wlad never fought a guy like McCall.

Adamekin the top 10 tells you how bad this lot are, no disrespect to a guy with one of the biggest hearts and best chins in boxing.

In 1954 Don Cockell was the NUMBER 2 ranked heavyweight.

Do you really think Cockell would take Adamek?

In 1977, Duane Bobick, Evangelista and Leon Spinks were in the top 10. Do you favor all these over Adamek?

I guess you missed Ali versus that shot up punching bag Wiliams, or Frazier-Stander and Frazier-Ziggy, or Foreman-Roman, or Ali-Lubbers, Ali-Coopman and Ali-Dunn, Holmes versus Zanon, LeDoux, Ali, Spinks.. or brother Spinks versus Dolph Lundgren (or whatever his name was)... Jesus, I could go on for pages. The heavies (as do all divisions) has its share of stinkers. Big deal.
