Has the light heavyweight division lost its steam?

    About two to three years ago, the 175 lbs class looked like it was shaping up to be a once again talented division with some solid rivalries materializing. But the big fights haven't been made.. The top three consists of Sergei Kovalev who unfortunately has been forced to fight mediocrities just to stay active because no one decent is stepping up against him except Jean Pascal ( who isn't all that good. ) Meanwhile you have a 38 year old belt holder who has been cherry picking. And a 32 year old former super middle who fights about once per year. The last one wants to fight Kovalev but Lord knows if it will ever happen. If things keep going the way they are the parade is going to pass by this generation of top rated light heavies.

    Granted.. But one match doesn't account for the state of an entire division. And that's assuming that it even DOES happen.

    nah the division is going to be the hottest division in boxing soon

    Kovalev,Ward, Stevenson, Gvodsyk,Bivol, beterbiev and Callum Smith and Zurdo ect could be moving up

    i would not like to have to campaign at 175 over the next 5 years

    Have you guys watched the Wlad Fury press conference?

    They humiliated Wlad with interrogative like questions. The champ for 11 years, and got no respect.

    Towards the end, Fury claims he isn't an athlete. He then said "This is the undisputed heavyweight champion of the world," then took his shirt off. And the man is fat. Like really fat.

    He's mocking Wlad by being fat. Saying "You fight for 40 years, and can't beat a fat man, so what does that make you?" He also mocks boxers, saying they are athletic and muscular, even though he's the top boxer and is a fat guy.

    Lol, it's crazy stuff.
