People are being too harsh on Mitchell. The same left hook that screwed Mitchell horribly decked and HURT Marquez.

Murray in his recent fights hasn't shown us anything new. I think Mitchell would do him from long-range. Murray wouldn't be able to cut off the ring with Mitchell, but that's what I think anyway.

I don't see Mitchell being able to go 12 without getting in a tear up with Murray.

It's one thing being able to outbox a journeyman like Prescott, but Murray has far superior footwork and doesn't send his punches by mail order.

Many people (including me) really started rating him after the Prescott fight. Before then he would just get into tear-ups.

Like Katsidis, Murray will overwhelm Mitchell but it won't be as quick.

Mitchell was a whisker from getting pulled out of the Johannsen fight, he did well to come through that fight...:yep Everyone in the trade knows that...:yep

In my view it went on the slide from there...he was always going to come 2nd to Katsidis...:yep

It's plain and simple, Mitchell is getting cashed in...:yep

The promoter has got some great dinner tickets up North that will have the M.E.N Arena and The Echo banged out...:deal

Ish, Prescott is wank too. The only thing he showed in that fight was a willingness to do what he'd never done before (and couldn't do after) and that was listen to his corner. He doesn't have the drive to make it to the top, and looked way way out of his league against Katsidis. I'm more inclined to say Audley put up a better showing against Haye that Mitchell did with Kats.

Murray will just grind him down nice and easy for a stoppage inbetween 6-9

This is turning into a proper North vs South ding dong.

I've not seen anybody pick against their boy yet.

I agree with the OP he definitely has a favourite in this fight but Rob is right it's a win win for him because he needs to get a star fighter. If Kev wins he is back on the road to being the Ricky Hatton of the South and if Murray wins he is the new Ricky Hatton.

I think FW will look to get the winner of Murray-Mitchell a title shot (easier said then done) and once or if he can get one, I expect to see a few major All-British World Title fights. The loser can still be involved in major fights and be recycled, FW has a magnificent 4 at 135 Murray,Mitchell,Arthur and give it a year or something Ricky Burns.

Warren won't invest in Murray and hurt himself. Warren can invest in him, mastch him hard and win because both fighters are his.

I would like to see Warren control our domestic scene like the UFC. He is the only one who could do it.

Mitchell boxed to the right plan against Prescott but Prescott's lack of technique and crudeness after first 4 rounds was abunduntly clear and he made Mitchell look like PBF with that shite shoulder roll he employed which got exposed by Kats.

Mitchell is always there to be found and John will do what Crolla did last night. Step to Mitchell work behind a tight guard and use compact straight punches to get him to ropes and work the body from mid-short range and then use compact hooks when Mitchell's on ropes. Mitchell will look to use lateral movement to make Murray pick his feet up and try walk him onto shots.

Consistent steady pressure is what will break Mitchell. He done well against Prescott and boxed to a plan but really and truly it just showed how poor Prescott was and the fact he had no plan b.

Many have before dragged Mitchell into trenches. Tibbs done fantastic to keep Mitchell disciplined but when Murray starts tagging him at close range and the crowd roar i expect Mitchell to revert back to type.
