Has The Now Mythical Skillset Of The Gypsy King Been Vastly Overstated & Blown Out Of Proportion?

Wlad isn't a counter puncher period, that's not overly specific, just how he fought. The backfoot jab and grab style was predicated on leading in exchanges.

 

Somehow you got guys talking about how amazing a boxer Fury is who think Broner is crap who is WAY BETTER p4p than Fury.

 

I agree. Fury's defence since his comeback isn't actually very good, he's very hittable, and his punching is pretty sloppy

He's big, strong, tough and has a very good Ring IQ, but he's far from unbeatable.

It's worth noting the only ranked heavyweight he's fought since Wlad in 2015, is Wilder, undoubtedly one of the most one dimensional fighters to ever spend significant time in the top 10. I've said for a while I think people will look at Fury's comeback as a lot of smoke and mirrors.

I think Usyk can do it. I'm not sure Fury wants the fight.

 

Broner was awful, all he had was a left hook.

 

Seriously, anyone who knows anything about boxing can watch these two and know that p4p Broner is better. This is a four-weight world champion. Guys he beat were better than Fury. Look at Malignaggi. If you shrunk Fury down to Malignaggi's size, he would not be that good. We all know that. Deep down.

 

Fury has no punch as good as Broner's uppercut or straight right, let alone his left hook. Don't be ridiculous. Fury is tall. Big whoop. Broner isn't, and still has the skills to pay the bills.

 

I want you to sit yourself down tonight, Anthony and I want you to watch Broner VS Maidana (close fight) and Broner Pacquiao (close fight) and then watch Maidana and Pacquiao against FMJ (best of the era) and then tell me Broner isn't better than Fury, p4p, let alone for the love of the God in Mexico, that he is "awful" and that the difference between best of the era and awful is that slim. Just stop it. Go post about top 20 celebrity snafus or whatever the eff you normally post on in the lounge and maybe stop watching boxing if that's how poorly you assess talent.

 

When I saw Broner as a kid, I knew he was special. Everybody who knew boxing knew he was special. He used to beat the brakes off of people who know way more about boxing than you do. Way more than 99% of this forum does. Bet.

 

Let me ask you this: Why ain't Pacquiao ever give Broner a rematch but he did it so many times for Marquez and for Bradley...? Maybe your boy didn't wanna get stretched again...?

 

Go look at all of the times Broner planted people? Have you ever even heard of Youtube? Have you ever even seen the Internet outside this forum? Because there's so much proof everywhere. Do your own research. Don't just look at the consensus of people in your bubble where everyone pretends the same thing because it is popular. This is not a popularity contest. I was livin' on the damn street when Broner opened up his wallet to me and his heart. You guys have no effing clue WTF you are talking about with this man and think he is some kind of evil monster but he is a human being. I was living BY a cardboard box! It wasn't even mine.
