Unlike the trout fight which was a genuingely close fight that could reasonably scored either way. Canelo lost 9 rounds to Lara and won 3 with one being real close. Will this destroy Canelo's ability to draw quality opponents who fear being robbed in similar manner? After all why fight someone when you know the judges will vote against you no matter how much you win? I suspect Canelo will fall deeper and deeper into irrelevancy.

Lara refused to fight, so he lost. I had it 117 - 111...............Lara ran his big mouth, said he was going to knock Alvarez out, but how can you knock someone out without fighting them?

he got props for fighting lara.

some actually expected the robbery, so it's business as usual.

unto the next controversial decision in the next fight.

There was no robbery, if Lara wanted to win he should have fought, but Lara chose to run like hell....................117 - 111 was actually the correct scoring, hell, just one punch from Alvarez did more damage than all of Lara's punches combined..................a woman punches harder than Lara.............

Not sure what that has to do with issue of robberies but if you want to take it there, KTFO6 trumps anything Pac did prior.:deal

In the aftermath of what happened it's Lara's career that seems to have taken the knock. He lost the decision and fought in a very negative manner on the biggest stage of his career. He's now sitting next to Rigo and Ward on the bottom of everyone's list labelled who needs him.

It was a close fight the only people thinking either won by more than 2, maybe 3 rounds at a stretch either don't know how to score a fight or are biased.

I thought it was close, canelo did nothing until the 4th round when he began landing to the body and rushing lara. Once that happened is as if lara was in survival mode for the rest of the night. Only gave the jab&straight then moved. He should have thrown more combinations, canelo was eating up all the shots. Would of made Lara's performance more convincing. I was dissapointed he took no chances to fight on the inside or close range. He did not dominate and allowed the rounds to be questioned once canelo started putting on the pressure.

The fight was no robbery granted the 117-111 score was bogus its was a legitimate close fight that Canelo won it's not like it was a wide UD it was a SD which reflected the nature of the fight. Canelo gets major props for taking and winning this fight
