Haha so i'm a ***** just not gay. Ok lol.

He also beat bowe and the loss to lewis was razor close, have you watched it? When factoring p4p I consider his size.

Bowe's resume across the 90's is dog**** compared to the real deal.

Ok michigan, as you rightfully suspected, i'm not a liar. For whatever reason, at some point in the 80's the ring failed to recognise any champion.

Look at the ratings in 89, see who the top 2 light welter's are. Follow that lineage.

At welterweight I can't recall the exact year but curry and milton mcrory fought as number 1 and 2. Follow that lineage through.

At lightmiddleweight you need to follow through from norris. I believe it was pevan he unified with? The only other meaningful champ was whittaker and he vacated to move back down.

Check the ring ratings over the 80's they didn't award belts. They never had tyson as champ either. Jones never should have been ring champ due to the lineage created by hill.

You know who jeanette is yet?

I don't see it as a waste of talent per say. The man's done what he wants to do and made millions doing it. But as a boxing fan we lost out on the potential of seeing Floyd fight mega-fights in the prime of his career. 6 fights in 5 years. Even if he averaged 2 per year we could have seen 4 more potential mega-fights.

sadly, as someone else above pointed out, he will be remembered more for the fights he didn't take than the ones he did.
his skills are without question, he is a masterclass in boxing ability; yet in years to come i can't think of one mayweather fight i will dig out and watch again. in some ways he's too good for his own good; his skills have enabled him to avoid going in the trenches and thus hasn't partaken in any wars (so consequently they lack replay value).
certainly the last 6 years of his career have been a massive letdown.
to think of the fights he could've been in (and probably won) yet never materialised is just shite realy. personally, over the last 6 years i would've liked to see him face; cotto, margarito, williams and more recently pacquiao and martinez.....
    its just a damn shame.

As a big Floyd fan it is sad to see one of the most naturally gifted boxers of all time sit on the sidelines and not fill up his resume by defeating all comers the way we know he could. Mega fights against Cotto, Williams, Berto, Ortiz, & Pacquiao that sadly will never happen.

That doesn't mean he's a coward or a ducker. But Floyd Mayweather has made his money and gotten his fame despite not seeing eye-to-eye with fans on how often he needs to fight to prove how good he is. And that's his choice I suppose.

    Vitali was a waste imo.

He should have been the next big thing after lewis but injuries took that away and his brother dominated the scene instead.

If floyd still has anything less there are fights with ortiz and pac at 147, cotto and alvarez at 154, martinez and williams at 160. That's six fights which in reality could be done in the space of 2 or so years. If he did that and proved even at his age he is still the man above 147 then i'd say he's lived up to his potential and i'd forgive his dismal run from castillo to baldomir. I mean sosa, ndou, brussels, corley, gatti, mitchell and judah. Damn to think which names could have been fought instead.

    Greg Page
    Howard Davis Jr.
    possibly Donald Curry.
    Rasheed Wallace
    Rick James.
As Great as Salvador Sanchez was, don't see him winning any more titles after jr. lightweight.Arguello, Kenty, Camacho, Kenty, Pryor, Bumphus, among others, would've given him hell.
