Has there been a case where a (decent) fighter would lose to his trainer?

What a dumb ass Atlas is. Jesus Christ.

So, undefeated Super Feather king Hector Camacho is challenging the World Light Heavyweight champion Jose Luis Ramirez in a days. Before heading to Vegas, Camacho stops at his home gym in New York to work out.

An absolute, buck-toothed, mouth-hanging-open, scrawny nobody (Teddy Atlas) is training another absolute nobody, Kevin Moley, for a fight against a totally shot Wilfred Benitez in a few weeks. (Benitez still beat Moley, by the way).

And instead of letting Camacho work for a little bit, being it's Camacho's home gym, he's a world champion, and Hector has a far more important fight coming up, Atlas tells Moley and another nobody he was sparring with to get out of the ring, and Atlas proceeds to challenge Camacho to a fight, pulling Camacho's hair, kicking, and uppercutting him until it's broken up.

Clearly, Atlas did zero damage, as Camacho was fine and dominated Ramirez.

But what a dick move by Atlas. Seriously. Same wannabe tough guy who pulled a gun on a teenage Mike Tyson. And the same guy who brought a gun to Donnie LaLonde's home to murder him for dumping Atlas as his trainer.

How is this guy still a thing? Clearly a rich kid who who always got his own way, and when he didn't, he exploded in violence or pulled guns on people.
