One point, I think if boxers today fought 30 times a year we'd be willing to give them some leeway if they weren't all against the cream of the crop.

I just think we're coming at it from different places and are very unlikely to make much more progress. I'm not brainwashed, I've formed my own opinions over many years. You're more than welcome to have yours and I will respect it :thumbsup

I just don't want to spend a lot of time crafting a response when I doubt we are likely to come together on this and then end up in a long argument where I'm being called nostalgic or brainwashed. Everyone ranks boxers based off of a different criteria and everyone is entitled to their own list and criteria as long as they are consistent in their reasoning. I doubt anything either one of us says about this will make the other budge much but I'll give you one good attempt at a response to this question when I get home and then I'm probably done with it. Nothing against you, mate, I just don't want to get dragged into a discussion that doesn't end up going anywhere.

I would have given you my reasoning once I got back to my computer as I told you previously, but instead you choose to mug me off in the interim because you can't wait 20 minutes. Now I check out a few other threads and see you're busy trying to get a rise out of plenty of other posters. If that's what gives you your kicks then enjoy, I won't be indulging you though.
