Has there been a more blatantly intentional headbutt at this level?

Holyfield v. Tyson 2. Holyfield repeatedly rammed his head into Tyson's face, and it was so obvious that even Tyson started looking at the ref begging for some kind of intervention. In fact, it was after one of the headbutts opened up a cut over one of his eyes that Tyson lost it and feasted on Holyfield's ear.

Maussa on Harris is the most deliberate headbutt I've seen. Maybe not at Mayweather-Ortiz level, but it was still for a world-title at stake.

 

and you wouldnt be wrong, ortiz stared the whole thing because he caused the break in action. and now you have a debate about whos dirty but the fact is there was no controversy until ortiz headbutted mayweather.

Take any one of his headbutts in isolation, you're probably right. What was blatant was that he was doing so repeatedly and in quick succession, to the point that it was obvious what he was trying to do. I'm going by memory (That fight I actually did buy, sucker me!), and IIRC ther was an actual flurry of headbutts at one point.

 

Wards headbutt billy goat style against Kessler is a candidate.
