Ballsy move using getting in a hot tub and receiving a massage as the examples for fighters that are dedicated.

Klitschko brothers. Vitali after 4 years out of the ring comes in svelte and sharp and destroys the defending wbc champion 9 years his junior without taking a deep breath. Wladimir is in fighting shape year round, you'll never see that guy with a gut.

There were several who remained at the top for two consecutive decades. Tony Canzoneri, Joe Louis, Ray Robinson, Sandy Saddler, Muhammad Ali, Julio Cesar Chavez, Bernard Hopkins, etc.

Wlad doesn't fit the category. Wlad has done the opposite of what is the standard trend (starting good, losing it). He was lazy and undedicated at the beginning of his career.

He started boxing only under the influence of his brother Vitali, but he wasn't passionate about it.
He also relied too much on his physical potential alone. Only thing he cared about was to look good, big, and partying around.

Vitali was publicly lamenting his bad attitude toward the sport in the time period before Wlad's first loss.

Wlad says that he wasn't passionate about the sport until he started to loose. He then falled in love, and tryed to learn and understand as much as he could to become the better possible.
And now, twenty years later, he trains harder and better than ever.

Generally speaking, to find boxers that have been dedicated troughout their whole careers, as the op post states if someone read it, you have to look for limited weight classes.

There are tons of boxers that fits that standard in small weight classes.

Stay away from heavyweights, because since some lbs more or less don't change anything for them, they tend to get compliacent.

Also they are generally more self adsorbed dickheads due to being the strongest boxers.

And they tend to privilege power to stamina, often handicapping their game.

none of them are reasons to limit selections at HW
if fighters don't meet the criteria, then they don't meet the criteria, regardless

That's what every non-******ed top-level athlete would do, from any sport.

Sure, i didn't mean to simply cut out heavys. There have been many dedicated. they're just rarer than in the other classes.

    yep, agreed
it's potentially the most lucrative weight, but it's amazing how many take it for granted
