now i know just because someone is a navy seal doesn't make them a "ultimate boxer or ultimate fighter" but has there ever been a navy seal or ex-navy seal that went to boxing, and did pretty well, you know, not like champion status, but better then journeyman.... a contender status

do you know of any ex-navy seal boxers currently or in the past

If there was one, i'm sure we would've known about it. On a slightly different topic, i think the most famous Navy Seal ever is Jesse Ventura, who was a star wrestler in the 80's who later became governor of Minnesota.

They wouldn't bother unless they craved fame. But then again anyone who joins an elite military unit knows they will never get any recognition for the massive sacrifices they make so chances are these guys wouldnt want the fame anyway.

If it was a question of money then they have a large number of future employment options available to them already. Private sector, heavy work, has always been abundant.

They also wouldn't do it for the challenge because no sport, no matter how dangerous, ever comes close to fighting to the death.

So no and I wouldn't hold my breath waiting for it to happen.

Boxers and MMA fighters are pussies compared to real life soldiers fighting to death for almost nothing just to protect our countries. FACT!

The closest guy I can think of is Battling Soldier Chocolate McNegro. A black scotsman that fought during black and white times, look him up. He fought all the way from Flyweight to Heavyweight, Manny ain't got **** on him.

Nigel Benn served in the Royal Fusiliers for a good spell before he turned pro.
Infact that's where he started boxing and doing martial arts.

Steve USS Cunningham was in the Navy.

What the TS is asking for is pretty rare to nearly impossible. People who go into the Spec Ops of any modern day country are typically committed for life. Their lifetime commitment is almost guaranteed by the barrage of testing they have to go through in order to be accepted.
