Has there ever been a fighter who publicly admitted he lost the fight?

Wasn't it Morales in the post-fight who said Maidana probably deserved the win, but then in the same interview changed his mind when Kellerman told him he and many other thought Morales had won? Don't remember Maidana saying he thought Morales deserved it.

The closest I've ever seen immediately after a fight (during the post-fight interview, I mean) was Chris Byrd after getting a gift over Oquemdo, when he said, "It could've easily gone the other way."

On Youtube, there is an interview with James Toney from shortly after his own fight with Oquendo, in which he is asked about the Tiberi fight and says, "Yeah, I got a gift there."

Joe Louis openly admitted he should have lost to Jersey Joe Walcott after their first fight. He also admitted he was getting spanked by Billy Conn before KOing him.
