Its ok to be a fanboi. Lets just keep it real.

    Im a fanboi too.

I had to accept Tyson was destroyed by Douglas even tho there is a myriad of reasons to excuse the loss.

I like Fury , but he did duck Pricey.

Bringing up Wlads ducks isn't what people want to be doing , but you feed the haters. You give people more reasons to dislike Wlad than reasons to like him.

True, but Wlad has something like 60 fights. That's a lot of fights for a current fighter.

Corrie Sanders kind of jumps off the page to me.

Not a slap against Wlad, who has taken on pretty much the best challenges out there (his brother aside, for which you have to give them a pass IMO), but Sanders was available and it obviously didn't happen.

Wlad did not duck Toney. He offered him a title shot, Toney who had no belt declined!

Never saw Wlad duck or have a chance to fight with Lewis or Valuev.

Sanders beat Wlad in 2003, then Vitali beat Sanders in 2004. After that Sanders was pretty much retired as he did not fight in 2005.

Should Wlad in 2006 have fought Sanders? He was unranked at that point and only fighting journeyman once a year. What Sanders needed to do was fight someone in the top ten to get a chance for a re-match.

All of that's true, but in your OP you claim that Wlad should be creditted for "offering rematches."

It's very easy to offer rematches to someone you've wupped. I don't think you can credit Wlad for "offering rematches" when he only rematched 1 of the 3 man to knock him out.

Wlad was only offering Toney 1m. Clearly a lowball offer to push Toney away. He got 2m for the Rahman fight.

Toney clowned Wlad in the wild card gym.

We are talking about ducking no one for title matches, not re-matches themselves.

Purrity wasn't even ranked once Wlad won a title. Sanders was older and inactive. If Wlad offered Purrity a re-match in the 2000's people would scream bad fight.

Brewster got a re-match and he was pounded.

Wlad re-matched Peter, Thompson, and another guy.

Did Ali offer Foreman a re-match? Heck no.

    Dino,

And Toney fought a nobody for less money. He had a chance to be the #1 guy, and get a belt. He declined because he knew he's get the beat on.

This is why I view your Wlad posts as comedic relief. You don't know what your talking about and quickly backpedal. I don't think your a bad guy though.

No, that's not true Mendoza. You said:

"Wlad will fight anyone and offer re-matches."

However, even if you meant to say:

"Wlad will fight anyone and offer re-matches in title fights."

"We" remains me and you, and you don't define what I talk about.

Wlad just matched Leapai. I'm not sure about Purrity but even decrepit Sanders would be better than him. He didn't worry about screaming "bad fight" then.

It's impossible to know if Wlad would rematch a monster like Foreman. He did share an era with a pair, Lewis and his brother, but he met neither of them.

    Rematching Brewster doesn't really compare.

The answer is, it is impossible to say.

However good a champion's resume looks, somebody will always be able to point to somebody they should have fought, and they might have been avoiding somebody that would never cross your mind.

What matters to me is overall quality of opposition, and , to me, Wlad is not near the top of the list of heavyweight champions in that regard. In my view the quality isn't there so even if he doesn't duck a lot of fighters, his quality of opposition hasn't been high. In short, there have been few really good fighters for him to duck in his reign.
