Has there ever been an accumulation of punishment to match Lewis-Mavorvic?

Tucker vs Tyson might compare. Tucker took less punishment, and even though i hardly gave Mavrovic a round, it wasn't like Lewis was teeing off on him whenever he wanted.

Arturo Godoy was a victim or concentrated punishment against Louis in the rematch.

Tommy Gibbons' hat was said to not fit him after his mugging against Dempsey for 15 rounds.

I was at ringside in Connecticut that evening , in fact i sat next to Larry Donald and he was just laughing at the punches landing all night.. It was very heavy going for Zeijlko......... i commend him for his bravery.. Tua was also on that show against Eric Curry.. and the guy from Georgia (former soviet) Georgie Kandelaki.. he looked awful..

quiroga-anifowoshe - they both beat the primes out of each other...another fight that had me going :admin:admin

yes on both fights - tua-ike was an unbelievable display of adrenaline and testosterone. they both beat the **** out of each other and were just smiling like this -------->:hey:bbb...no display of pain whatsoever

cooper-mercer showed how dangerous cooper was when he was on his A game....mercer got his ass whooped that day (not officially of course) but showed me that he had a chin...cooper had me going  with the shots he landed

    will prolly add on later

That wasn't a onesided beating, though at least not in my book. Farr was a fine fighter* and give Louis a stern test even though he was admitedly cut pretty badly. Close but clear verdict for Louis.

*Best British HW fighter between Fitz and Lewis IMO.

Good pick, if only because Mason took all those power shots while his eyes were turning into two tiny slits. At times, Lewis was getting tired from hitting Mason on the chin and temple.

True, Mason won a few rounds and most of the rounds were close. It was amazing to see such an inexperienced novice as Lewis beat such a seasoned and well-regarded prospect.

Mason had a SLIGHTLY better chin. ;)

Not one-sided, sure, but Farr did soak up a huge amount of punishment. Taylor-Chavez I wasn't one-sided, but both boxers took a huge amount of punishment.

What about the big single power shots that Lewis was scoring early on? Let's not forget that Lewis had one-punch power as well as combo power.

I'm suprised he didn't end up impotent.

I think Ruddock took a lot more punishment over 12 from Tyson than Tucker did.
