Make the big plant pot do his ring walk to The Benny Hill theme tune. He might never walk alone, but he'll get landed on his bum alone.
He's a chinny, upright banger who had the weight of a city's expectations collapse in on him twice. He's not going to retire. His career reminds me of Maccarinelli's, post Afolabi. Hadn't heard much of Afolabi or Lebedev before they sparked him, but they went on to prove that they weren't lucky wins. Teper might turn out to be quite handy. Calls for Price to retire will die down if Teper went on to stuff a real contender. I think that'll prove to be the case, he looks very solid with quick hands and a strong mind... looked cool as a cucumber in the ring before the first bell. It also wasn't a bad KO. He got clipped on the point of the chin and shut off, but he wasn't bludgeoned. It happened fast and early, the biggest damage is to Price's pride. There's still money to be made, but what he doesn't need is to put himself into a situation where he's trying to fast track back with fights against prospects. Or at least choose prospects that aren't horrific style match-ups... guys with proven durability or compact/speed/explosiveness. Chisora would be good... I almost said Audely, but forget he'd already done him in a round atsch He might say he's done, but he won't be. Even if he seems resolved about it, it's easy to take the pi ss out of yourself to deflect, but it will eat away.
Great post hap, class. And Billy's. Price's trouble is that he's fought two opponents better than any Fury has. Price can still win at domestic level. Can see him having a shock win or two over any fighter. But I've honestly not seen him throw a full blooded punch since the first Thompson fight. It's unbelievable to watch.
