However, I take your Razor v Jaco fight, and raise you a Wlad v Ross Purrity. (I also have Wlad losing a fight by falling asleep in my back pocket).

 

The K Bros would be competitive in any era.
The rest of the contenders would get mauled by contenders on the level of Tony Tucker, Pinklon Thomas etc.

Those guys would rip guys like Arreola a new arsehole. Tony "Molasses" Thomson etc wouldn't stand a chance against the fighters from the cocaine generation.

Oh yea, a cruiserweight buttheading a mythical legend into submission. Then the same cruiserweight loses and then beats up on another legend who in the next fight gets schooled by a polish truck driver. Then the undisputed GOAT draws with the said cruiser and then gets schooled by the real heavyweight.

How about this current crop? Current Champ loses to a nobody, falls asleep against an out of his depth slugger, then lures a 38 year old never was semi-pro golfer out of retirment, to get sent to the canvas 5 times.

In the mean time, his other superhuman brother quits on his stool because his arm hurts, then gets battered around the ring by the heaviest version ever of a fading champ. He then follows that up by pulling out of FIVE fights against the great Rahman, before retiring for a few years.

In the mean time, they make money by either pittypattying their way to wins against guys they outweight by 50 pounds, or fighting guys that were nothing more than contenders 15 years ago.

Guys that were nothing in the late 90's, early 00's, are coming back at nearly 40 and being competitive straight away, which of course proves that todays boxers are better than they were. Somehow, apparently.
