Has Tony Weeks ever gave an interview after the Ward-Kovalev 2 fight?

An interview? a press release? something?!!

That guy had A LOT of explaining to do!

Unbelievable how the cheating, corrupt weasel just vanished after that useless extremely refereering perfomance.

Has he been suspended? or been subject to an Injuiry? I'm guessing not.. Jay Z and Beyonces Billions of money can do a lot in this sport.

    Explaining?

Tony, why did you stop the fight?

TW: Uhhh, because he was sitting on the ropes with his hands over his stomach unwilling or unable to defend himself.

Kovalev has more explaining to do than Weeks, if we're being honest.

The fact that Kovalev was cheated is the minor issue.

Weeks robbed PPV buyers of their good money for stopping a guy because he had a stomach ache. I agree Kovalev was in pain. Guess what? This is boxing. You don't stop fights because one guy is in pain.

You stop fights for the following reasons:

The fighter is getting dropped repeatedly
The fighter is loosing multiple rounds in such a way that they can be considered 10-8
The fighter is stops defending himself while taking head shots.
THe fighter is cut badly or broke a bone.

Kovalev was not dropped. Kovalev was giving competitive rounds. ( save for the last one, except you can't even count that because we did not see the conclusion of the round). Kovalev DID stop defending himself in the last few seconds, however, Ward did not capitalize on this by shooting for the head.

What was SUPPOSED to happen was that Weeks should have given Kovalev time to rest after the last low blow. Instead he does the complete opposite.

Weeks is a disgrace not because he robbed Kovalev, again this is boxing. This happens all the time. Weeks is a disgrace because he robbed the public from viewing rounds that they had paid 70$ for!

70 DOllARS!!! Add that up and you have millions of dollars that Weeks stole from the public.

I thought Richard Steele was bad enough, but Weeks is something else...

Richard Steele had to stop the Chavez Taylor fight because the boxer did not respond. He broke no rule. He would have broken a rule if he had let it continue. The only flaw I find in Steele during that fight is permitting too many low blows from Taylor and permitting Taylor to continue even though he felt that Taylor had had enough. It took a knockdown and lack of response from a battered Taylor for Steele's conscience and sense of responsibility for a fighter's safety to kick in? Totally inexcusable.

I agree that Weeks should at least explain why he prematurely stopped the fight.
I think he robbed Ward and the Fans of a legitimate stoppage.
