You said it here where you confused a knockdown with the standing eight count, when it was clear that I was talking about a KD, I even quoted the rulebook:

Again, you got owned in the debate, I exposed you for a casual who doesn't even know basic boxing rules. You watch the sport for years and don't even know what a knockdown is, it cannot get more pathetic than that, can it, attaboi?

It's not called standing 8 because that's the number of times the ref needs to count, it's called standing 8 because the fighter has to be up before the count of 8 seconds, you ******.

You argument was that the ref should have scored a knockdown when Kovalev was on the robes. But doing so, will require Weeks to give him a standing 8 (which doesn't exist in the state of Nevada) after officially declaring the robe hanging a knockdown. You're too stupid to connect dots.

LOL, look at this cretin, this is pure comedy gold. How should a fighter have to be up before 8, when he is already standing you absolute moron? You are talking about a standing 8 count here, you blithering idiot. Jesus Christ you are so dumb it hurts.

I simply can't imagine how you manage to survive with a such a low IQ. Can't you understand that there is no standing 8 count when there is a knockdown? No, a referee does not have to give a him a standing 8, when a fighter is unable to stand without assistance of the ropes due to a punch. That counts as a knockdown.

when a fighter is held up by the assistance of the ropes , the referee scores a knockdown and assistant referees located around the ring tell him where the count is.

Now even though it is a ten count most fighters will pop up at eight just to make sure they beat the ten count. This could lead some to believe it was a eight count. But the fighter just pops up at eight as a little insurance he wont be counted out.

i thot krusher won the first fight

but in the 2nd fight the krusher was crushed for air, gasping and trying to survive

ward had him against the ropes and was finishing him off

good stoppage, no complaints from krusher

But Kovalev wasn't held up by the ropes? Not until after the TKO, he collapses down on the ropes. It's quite visible, just watch for the strain on the rope. Kovalev is standing up bent over his legs, not sitting on the ropes.

And if there's no 8-count, and Kovalev is not protecting himself nor is knocked out it's over. He should've taken a knee or leaned back onto the ropes.

You could argue that it was a low blow and he should have been given time to recover, but since no low blow was declared the stoppage is correct.
