Has David Tua got a realistic chance to get into the top six heavies again? Seems his scheduled fight with Shane Cameron on June6 is going under due to a hand injury to Cameron in a fight 11 days ago. Tua hasn't fought for 18months or more after posting wins over mediocre opponents. Can he now get his way back to the money ranks??
No, Tua is finished. I lost all hope for this guy. I always used to get excited about Tua fighting because of his fight with Ike. He had his moments, but David Tua is history.
No, not only does he not seem to have the drive nor management to get it done, apparently he's cursed, too (not that the Cameron fight was some big turnaround point or anything, but it was something). He can't beat that trio.
well if he decided to start boxing he has a chance, but he is going to struggle because he is not the best guy technically so he will not be able to beat the best HW, still a top 30 contender.
Picking to fight Cameron was a soft option regarding Camerons level of opponents. But I figured Cameron would have been in good shape for June6 had he not suffered this injury. Tua seems hell bent on gaining kudos in New Zealand rather than working on the world stage which is disappointing.
Nah, he just doesn't want to do it. He needs good management. something he hasn't got, and probably never has. The Duva's seemed to do OK with him at first, but since the scumbag Barry got his hooks into him, his career has been mismanaged constantly - and still is.
He can still make noise and beat alot of the HW's but would lose to a Klitschko, Haye, Gomez, or Dimitrenko.
Yes, just start getting busy. For goodness sakes, just fight anybody for now. We will know if he still has by just watching him fight anybody. Cameron is a fool, he did not have to take that fight and look what happens. Good money fight for him out the window.
Cameron obviously obliged 3000 fans fighting Davis, that fight should have been ok 3months out to June6. Cameron does what he likes to do best, Fighting! Tua seems to procrastinate....
I understand what you are saying, but Cameron is the one that was chasing this fight. Big name and some money so why take a chance even though it is three months out. You also have to include the training that is involved to fight Tua. I would not chance it and now he is out of a decent fight. We will see what Tua does and yes he does procrastinate.
has tua got a chance? his whole career has been a case of 'close but no cigar'. its never gonna change, regardless of the condition of the hw division.
