Has Usyk had a greater impact on the sport than the Klitschko brothers?

    Impact on the sport?

    Thats tough.

To me, the Klitschkos were a massive part of the sport for a very long time, at a time where the sport was more popular, imo.

They were internationally well known and Wlad was almost a celebrity even here in america. I feel Usyk has barely reached that level of relevance and impact once he fought AJ.

Now add the fact your trying to compare Usyk to both brothers combined, and not just one or the other?

I think impact on the sport can mean more than just your wins and losses.

    Or does it lol.

    Interesting comparison.

Definitely more impact than Vitali who I think is more of a footnote than anything else.

Wlad defined a full era though and had a huge impact.

    Tough call

No. Like them or loathe them the Klitschkos defined a decade long epoch of HW history.

No. Usyk is better than Wlad and Vitali but they had a much bigger impact:

    - dominated HW for 11.5 years

    - first European fighters to become No.1

    - destroyed the American heavyweight scene; even though they weren’t hugely popular over there (still a good bit more well known than Usyk, whose had 3 fights in America to K2’s 18) this gave them more impact paradoxically by re-centring the HW division to Europe

    - founded K2 promotions, which has promoted other major stars, including Usyk

    - Wlad was able to sell out stadiums in Germany fighting the likes of Leapai

Peak Lewis's fights were all in America. He never sold out stadiums in Europe like the Klitschkos and Joshua.

He was a plastic Brit, always Canadian at heart. If Canada had Britain's population he would never have stepped foot in Britain again.

No, Uysk has made no where near the impact the K bros did. Wlad 64 - 5, Vitali 45 - 2, Uysk 23 - 0.

Have Usyk have 20 to 40 more fights and let's see what his record is.

Vitali was cool. I'm sorry but Wlad was a big time hugger. The Povetkin fight was a disgrace. Should have been DQ'd.

Usyk fights these much bigger dudes cleanly.
