11 times in his proffesional career? Thats what the guy on sky sports news was sayin this afternoon, or was it Jim Watt pointing that fact out? Im not sayin this as any anti Vlad thing like some of you crazy nut jobs, im wanting Haye to win but im one of those who doesnt see it happening. I was just a bit surpised to hear it, or did all these 11 come in the 3 fights hes lost?
yea. 2? Against Purrity. 4 Against Sanders 1 standing-8 against Brewster 1 against Davarryl Williamson 3 against Peter
his chin is crap, problem is he has adjusted his style in such a way opponents will have dificulties to land a clean shot on him without taking a lot of punishment first.
1st Steve Panell 2nd Ross Puritty 3rd Corrie Sanders 4th Corrie Sanders 5th Corrie Sanders 6th Corrie Sanders 7th Lamon Brewster 8th DaVarryl Williamson 9th Samuel Peter I 10th Samuel Peter I 11th Samuel Peter I
Yes but 7 of those came in two fights with Peter and Sanders If Wlad had been sparked first time by Sanders it would only be 8 times which aint so bad I suppose lol
The ones against Puritty and Brewser were more due to exhaustion. The first two against Peter were illegal shots to the back of the head. The one against Williamson was a flush KD, Wlad wasn't hurt at all. I didn't see the one against Panell but Wlad went on to win that fight. So, it's more like 5 genuine knockdowns total.
The thing is, hardly any landed clean and bang on. It bothers me that he chose the canvas as an option rather than the fact he was put there through being dropped.
If you watch Peter 1, you'll see that two of the knock downs are BLATANT rabbit punches, and one is where Peter slams Wlad to the ground. If there were no rabbit punches in that fight, there would have been no knockdowns.
Well that's another thing, how many fighters actually go down from rabbit punches? Not many. They usually stand their ground, or give em back.
