I know he has fought fringe contenders in his last few fights (whatever they area) but i heard of the mostly milimted comp he has faced he's being knocked down and hurt before. Were this just hayemakers or were they of people who can punch a bit. I don't like big jumps up in opposition like this (ala Cintron vs Margarito)

no this is a huge jump in class for ward, his last fight was a 10 round blowout of sugar poo buchanan who, although a serviceable fighter, was never considered a great prospect or possible contender

having said that, ward has been at such a different level compared to his comp that i would say he is going to handle miranda

Nope. Keep in mind he had a bad knee injury that sidelined him for about a year.

He should already have had close to 25 fights by now. He has been fighting 3 times a year for the last 3 years, had 4 fights his first 2 years.

I dont know who his manager is, but he has been mishandled. Gold Medal winner, he should have had 10 fights within his first 2 and been climbing up the rankings by 4.

Its rather disconcerting. He has blown out all his comp, yet 18 fights and this is his first actual test. For as talented as he is it makes me wonder what the hold up has been.

Course, if Miranda lays him out cold, perhaps we will know why.

Im really hoping he puts on a great show though. He seems like a good kid
