Before his fan base could fit into his own car. Now that's he beat Kovalev, even though it was controversial, do y'all think his fan base has increased now?
Well lets say he has less haters. Anyone who is a boxing fan needs to respect his performance. He got up and delivered a solid fight, can't hate him for that.
He deserves to have more fans. I've never liked his style and I don't see what's so great about his "skillset" but he showed a ton of grit against Kovalev, determination and coolness under pressure. Very good fighter.
Not really. His peak in popularity should be around the time of the Super Six. This fight isn't something that would have given Ward a lot of fans.
I didnt think he won but I was very impressed with his ability to comeback and make it close That said I actually think he wins the rematch unless he gets clocked.
Maybe because you didn't exist "before". Ward had a solid fanbase when he won the super six and it massively increased after the tournament. His inactivity after that drove a lot of fans off. If he goes back to being overly inactive again, expect a lot of fans to drive off again.
