How high do you rate Wladimir Klitschko's left hook in all time heavyweights? it seems very devastating weapon

    Tommy Morrison/David Tua/Mike Tyson/Joe Frazier/George Foreman left hook vs Wlad's left hook?

Klitchko's left hook may be harder than Morrison's, yes. Even when he arcs it, or doesn't throw it through his hip, it's a huge punch. But how do you compare it to a weapon like Frazier's hook, or Tyson's? It doesn't appeal to me immediately as being the best left hooks in HW history, no. Interested to see what everyone else has to say about it though.

Watch him know Ray Austin out in the second round by using his left hand only. Five left hooks and they were hard................the shortest left hook I have even seen was Vlad Vs. Shufford in Vegas, check it out..............

It's a solid punch, probably not the "best ever". But considering Wlad's total boxing package (jab, footwork, right hand) the left hook is a huge offensive asset in itself.

It's sort of hard to say. I think some HW's great left hooks are overrated because the fighters had great left hooks but were good to average with other punches, so their left hooks were more glorified while a fighter with a great right hand and a great jab didn't use the left hook so much, but that doesn't mean they didn't have a great left hook. Sort of like at the end of Quigley Down Under when the bad guy learns the hard way that just because Quigley didn't carry a pistol didn't mean he didn't know how to use one.

Klitschko's left hook is a very formidable weapon. Obviously he can put a lot of leverage behind it and hit his target with it. He can keep it very short and he can triple up on it which is practically unheard of with other heavyweights his size.

    That would be Joe Frazier.

Tua and Morrison are not on the list. Morrison had trouble knocking out guys like Hipp and zombie Williams, and failed to knock out Purity and brain-damaged-Bent with his supposedly relentless hook.

Tua had a beast of a hook, but never one any version of the championship, not event he WBO.

Wladdy's hook is very comparable to Tyson or Foreman in that they were all guys with natural power who could knock you out with a number of punches.

Never seen any other heavyweight in history leading with the left hook the way Wlad does.

I really rate his left hook he literally puts people to sleep with it. It's fast, compact and he generates massive power behind it with seemingly little effort.

But to say it's a best ever? I don't know, Frazier's sweeping left hook was a thing of beauty, when he started unwinding that left hook you knew his opponent was in trouble. Tua's was a sledgehammer of a punch, brutal, not a shot anyone wants to get caught with.

I will say Wlad has the best left hook I've seen from a heavyweight with his body shape. For a tall guy like him to throw such a compact left hook that well is impressive. Lewis' left hook wasn't as good, neither was Bowe's or Vitali's.

Harder than Morrison's ?? Maybe but doubtful. A better hook than Tommys? No way.

People couldn't avoid and could't get up from the Morrison left hook. He put guys out.
    Who has Wlad put out?
He threw them at Haye all night . It didn't even connect.
    Povetkin got up straight away.
He hit plenty of them off Peter's dome to no effect.
One clean left hook from Hilenius handed Peter the worst KO loss of his career.

Wlad only brings out the left hook when he can root his feet into the canvas and when he's 100% sure it will hit the target.
He can't come forward swinging multiple lefts with perfect technique like Morrison, Frazier , Tyson, Marciano etc...

All in all i'd say Hilenius had a better left hook than Wlad.
