Pac's guard is so wide open, Cotto landed a lot of clean uppercuts.

Absolutely, and I've always though pretty highly of Floyd's head to head skills. Before, I always had Floyd as the clear favorite. Now, I see it as an even fight or potentially Manny as the slight favorite. I had no way of knowing he'd have moved up as effectively as he has. I think the combination of speed, stance, and explosiveness is going to give Floyd alot of problems and those attributes, along with his power, have translated remarkably well with Pac's rise in weight. He seems like a fighter peaking at he right time to me, and I get an unsettling feeling that Floyd's becoming a little unstable. Pac might just be the one to push him over the edge. Just a gut feeling.

I think Pac had in his mind he was gonna get in a fight with Cotto. He seemed like he wanted to prove he could take the bigger mans punches.

Floyd can evade Pac but only for so long, Pac's movement and speed will be able to catch Floyd and those single shots aren't gonna keep Pacman away. If anyone is at a style disadvantage I would say it's the pot shotting Floyd.

Nah....look at the later Cotto rounds. Pacquiao is stumbling and bumbling behind Cotto walking straight foreward. ...plodding......PBF is not going to allow that. Pacquiao will get chewed up with his limited defense and boxing skills. Countered and pot shotted to death. When and if Floyd stands with him, and they do trade, Floyd is faster, and moves when he stops punching. Pacquiao just stands there to be hit........and he will get hit often and fast.....Way to easy to hit.......:bbb

Pacquiao has amazed me again, I still pick Mayweather but Pac has cast more doubt than before in my mind, still not enough to pick against Floyd tho.

    This fight must happen.

Pacquiao is going to be an amazing test of Floyd's defensive reflexes. He simply does not attack like anybody in recent memory. Floyd relies so much on knowing already exactly when and how his opponent wants to throw, and he won't have any extra time to react to someone as unorthodox and quick as Manny. He also can't give too many rounds away to figure him out either the way he did with Judah, because one, Manny won't fade, and two, judges love aggression these days, effective or not.

But one factor that I feel favors Floyd is that regardless of what he says to the media, a part of him has to know that this is his defining moment, not Zab, not Baldomir, not Hatton. I'm blown away by Manny also, but we may not have seen Floyd at his absolute best and most focused either yet, and that is equally incredible.

So, you think that right now, the fight would be close to 50/50 ? & you would favour Pac over FMJ at the lower weights ? :huh

Floyd was at his best at the lower weights... Pac is at his best at these weights... Floyd would **** all over the ragged Pacquiao at the lower weights, its THESE HIGHER WEIGHTS that Pac has the best chance since he is a more complete fighter now where as Floyd throws less combinations than he did at the lower weights.

You can be truly bizzare at times phillip, you really can :nut

Possibly. Pac walked through Cotto's big shots who is a bigger puncher than Floyd. Pac will walk through Floyd's too. About Floyd? Can he take Pac's power shots on him? So how can he hurt Pac? Pac will force him to exchange or he will run the whole fight. I can't wait till that fight happens.

That's what has to worry PBF. He throws from all angles, is never in one spot and has blazing hand speed. You can't really game plan for that stuff. He's not going to be able to duck/slip/block them all. Some will get through. It will be interesting to see how he reacts once things aren't all rosy.

true but mayweather will alos be an amazing test for paquiao because pacquaio has NEVER been in the ring with a defensive wizard like mayweather. barerra, morales, marquez, dlh, hatton, cotto were NOT difficult targets like a guy like mayweather. both men will test eachother like never before.
