Just what the hell is going on with WBC bantamweight champ Hozumi Hasegawa?

With just 7 KOs in 25 fights a year ago, Hozumi - a skilled Japanese southpaw who stopped Thai legend Veeraphol Sahaprom back in 2006 - produced two 2nd round and two 1st round KOs in a row vs. battle tested, good opposition, ever closing to a P4P position.

HBO! Showtime! **** Bob Arum PPV Channel! Get Hozumi's ass to AMERICA! And you know what? bring the commentators too. :yep

Maybe he discovered that he can kayo his opponents easier with horse shoes in his gloves? Nice vid, thanks!

impressive! quick uppercut that made rocha groggy and a right hook that put him down. he did not let his opponent recover and finished the job quickly.

Superb fighter! That right hook was chilling! Allways rated this guy since I saw him beat the formidable Veeraphol!

    Japanese commentators are crazy.

That lead left-southpaw right was a thing of a beauty. Speed, timing, precision, technique, everything was in place.

This guy is seriously talented. That was one of the best orchestrated kds of the year. He seriously needs to be taking on some name opponents as he seems to be hitting his prime!

Lovely left-right combo. Good speed and timing.

Seems a bit lazy with his jab, though -- if you keep pawing like that sooner or later a good fighter will time you and shoot a straight over the top.

He wasn't really throwing the jab though was he? He was just waiting and looking for an opening whilst tentatively pawing with his jab.

Great combo for the first KD though.

They don't vote for President in Japan. They have Prime Minister in parliamentary system of government.:deal

Hasegawa is great fighter. He should be in P4P ranking this year.

I think he's the best bantamweight in the world. Hopefully he proves it against another title holder.
