i like watching both of these fighters. i'd say that they are two of the most skilled operators below super bantamweight. would be a fight for the fans. hasegawa by UD. donaire gets a knockdown with a counter.
I also like both fighters but I am now getting fed up with the lack of Donaire activity and the bums he is fighting, whilst Hasegawa is a very active champ and fighting well ranked guys. I prefered Hasegawa in the beginning anyway and would think he'd UD Donaire something like 117-111. Also is Donaires chin that great? I dont think so, Hasegawa maybe a late TKO is another possibility.
NOnito interview; "Back then I couldn't get a manager I couldn't get a manager because of the fact that I was Filipino. I tried to call managers out there to sign me but they always say 'hey you know, I'm sorry, I like you kid but you know, you're not Mexican or you're not Latino so we can't really do nothing about it and that's why I'm really into this Pinoy Power. It gives an opportunity for Filipino fighters and for the Philippines to be recognized the way it is now and just keep going. So far we're in the right track. Before when I started, Filipinos were made fun of. They said Filipinos can't break an egg or a tomato and stuff like that."
Filos can punch mate;we are just not regulars in U.S. and not exposed to that high level long enough like Mexicans and Americans. When we are regulars we could improve a lot and get way way better. like Pac,had he stayed in Phils he would be good, but not great. We always knew we had potential.Japan never fights overseas and challenge the best like Mexico it's rare.. Hasegawa UD...
assuming his power carries (which i believe it would) Nonito would stop him, Hasegawa's skill is undeniable as is his momentum right now, but his biggest flaw would be lethal against Nonito and that is he has next to nothing on his jab, it's mainly a range finder as opposed to a weapon,... so Nonito would just throw a left hook over it everytime he puts it out there, his timings too perfect and his hands are far too fast for him not to catch him with flush counters all night and as we've seen from past Donaire victims soon as you get rocked the fights pretty much in the bag he doesn't let up and he rarely gets careless, Nonito would just be too fast, too slick, and just too good for Hasegawa Donaire by mid round KO, good fight though...i'd pay to see it (this is all assuming his brittle ass hands hold up without injury)
