I've never seen any Hasegawa fights other than the Montiel one. He seems like he has speed and power. Gonzalez has good power and is a good solid fighter all around, but he has a TERRIBLE chin. I predict Gonzalez to win some of the rds, but eventually get knocked out at some point of the fight.
I wouldnt count out Johnny..He is still dangerous and more proven at the weight. I'm not totally sure Hozumi has carried his new found power from bantam up to feather..if it hasnt that would assist Johnny greatly because of his durability issues. But the way Johnny overcommits with his shots, I just keep picturing that right hook from Hozumi finding a home to often. Its a fight I would certainly like to see...as I reckon the winner elevates themselves into a position to challenge JuanMa or even Gamboa.
Hasegawa made his featherweight debut about a month or two ago. I don't think he's quite as quick at featherweight as he was at bantamweight, but below is his debut against what I think to be a pretty promising featherweight prospect Juan Carlos Burgos [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqYb285lLUA[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YAU8wpM1Mz8&feature=related[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jhiRaUs8zGw&feature=related[/ame] [ame]http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U7qH5Dpkl0o&feature=related[/ame]
WAHOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :happy Although this fight kind of suffers Corley-Hernandez syndrome for me (where it's two guys I really want to see pick up a quality win at this stage of their careers - over guys like each other...just...not each other, because that means one of them has to lose :yep)
My heart is wanting and saying Gonzalez. I love Jhonny. And I aint letting my head overrule my heart. I really hope he wins. It ain't going 12.
