Credit to Rahman! He’s not a bitter dip**** like his former opponent James Toney Rahman puts Usyk in GOAT status and I agree! This content is protected
Rahman seems like a pretty honest guy even when he was talking about his son who is a fighter he didn't blow any smoke like some other Dad's do he said his son doesn't work hard enough and should be better than he is.
Rahman is also one of the strongest Heavyweight boxers in history he apparently could bench 450 pounds in his prime.
Yeah man, one thing about Rahman is there definitely doesn’t seem to be any fake bs with him. Kind of a straight shooter. Even though there was a bit of bad blood between him and Corrie Sanders… he still credited Corrie afterwards saying “He hit me harder than anyone I’ve been in the ring with” But yeah he recognizes greatness with Usyk.
I thought ot was more like 500. You get the feeling about him that he'd do a lot better if he found the fountain of youth and had a second go. He improved a lot on the job.
One of his strength and conditioning coaches used to post on here way back in the day, can’t remember the name, but he claims Rahman could bench 520 lbs. I see Rahman on instagram still putting up crazy numbers on the bench even at his age so it doesn’t surprise me in the slightest.
I remember that guy. He also trained Kermit Cintron and said he could bench like 355 pounds weighing 140 pounds which is damn impressive as well. Rahman had huge potential people forget he didn’t start boxing until he was like 20. He just got lazy after he KOed Lennox.
Ron Morehead tried to record Rahman doing this and Rahman said to record Usyk because he has an impressive samurai chatter that goes beyond the human vocal range, in all probability. Scott Nelson has agreed and is still trying to figure out what Usyk is saying.
