I thought he did to be honest. He said he needed to get back in the gym. I think that was his way of saying he was out of shape.
Agree, but being that overweight was not the case of merely ignoring your trainer for one fight. But he did, indirectly, address the weight. He did say he needed to knuckle down in the gym, so maybe he is ackowledging the conditioning, too.
Nah, he got jobbed against Tua twice late and couldn't finish TWICE against Maskaev. I think being a poor finisher was his problem. Flash in the pan is def not the term I would use.
Honest words, although I think the main fault is that he wasn't making his hours in the gym, instead of headhunting. I hope he can get his motivation back. Anyone remember his fight with Wlad late 2008? He looked completely disinterested there. Credit for him trying to pull the rope-a-dope... but if any performance was un-inspiring, that was it. Didn't show much sportmanship after that fight, either.
Um... same old business. Rahman beats 3-4 total tomato cans, then gets by some C-level fighter like Travis Walker in an eliminator, and then he gets a shot at a major belt while being hyped as the man who KOed Lennox Lewis 27 years ago. He then gets KOed or quits, disappears for 6 months and comes back doing the same thing again.. and again... and again...
Rahman is a two time world champion. He's won big fights and lost some too.Rahman is staying busy and has a very good jab and has power in both hands and is always a force.
