I do wonder about this. BUT...If you look at Wlad K vs. Vitali K some would say the chin department is a little different per brother. I also think Wlad got the infamous Chin Implant. Hes done quite well for what 10 years?!

Hmm.... Oliver McCall's son Elijah did not inherit his father's granite Chin. Then there's Aaron Pryor Jr. :think

Yeah, we don't have enough cases to really make any definitive assessments on heredity.

McCall jr vs. Rahman Jr would be quite ready for PPV already...the 2 lennox conquerors. I'd buy that for a dollar! They could bill it as "Lennox Lewis's Daddy"

Oh Joe,still at it I see.Letting your youthful imagination run away with you.

Could you kindly point out where I "hyped" him, or where I said he'd be "decent"

    No rush.

I have no idea if he is any good, or if he is ****.

He ciould be a blow out or he could be a champ, until I see how his career comes along, I wont make any judgement.

There are FAR too many non-descript amateurs that have had amazing careers, to make stupid, rash decisions.

Liek Ive said repeatedly, what chance would you have given his father to become champ when he went pro 20 odd years ago?

The HOF is filled with guys who never had special amateur careers.

And theres plenty of journeymen who had great amateur careers.

You cant seem to get this through your head though.

So for the 5th(6th?) time. I dont know how he'll do as a pro. He could be a blow out, he could be a champ.

All I know is the son of a famous champ, and someone who was recently caught up in a notable boxing scandal has gone pro.

And thats worthy of a thread.

times are changing man, this isn't 30 years ago, now days 99% of top pro were either decorated amateurs or turned pro too young to become decorated amatuers, stop living in the past

Its the same as it ever was.
Theres guys who are champs with non-descript amateur record.
Theres guys who are champs who had really NO amateur record
And theres guys who are champs with superstar amateur records.
